We are an active family of 4 who moved to Longmont approximately 1.5 years ago. We love to enjoy the outdoors and frequently spend time hiking in the mountains or playing at nearby parks. We strongly value education and challenge ourselves to creatively approach daily activities to make learning fun for our children.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Father works full-time and mother works part-time; son has previously been in daycare but we now have a newborn daughter and would prefer childcare to be more individualized and in-home at this point in time. In addition, although our son has benefited from the socialization daycare provides, he tends to really attach to his providers and we hope to find a nanny who will create a bond with our children and truly enhance their lives.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have 2 children. Our son is 2 (will be 3 in late October); he is energetic, fun-loving, and very kind-hearted. He loves to play outdoors, and is currently fascinated with cars, trains, and anything else with wheels!
Our daughter is 2-months-old. She is a pretty mellow baby so far; she is fascinated by her big brother and grins during most interactions. She loves to be held and cuddled, and we are primarily looking for someone who will nurture her and provide age-appropriate learning opportunities.
Describe your home setting: We live in a 2-story house in a fairly new suburban area. We have a fenced-in yard, and are located in a cul-de-sac with a park. Our neighborhood also has 3 additional parks within walking distance. We live within close proximity (a very short drive) of Niwot, Longmont, and Boulder and tend to venture out to all 3 towns for outings.

No tasks outside of those needs that arise while caring for our children (e.g., light meal preparation for lunches, cleaning up after play activities, etc.).
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We would love for our nanny to be creative and provide a variety of activities, including a combination of indoor activities (reading, arts and crafts, etc.) and outdoor adventures (walks, playing at nearby parks, outings to children's museum or other fun locations...we will reimburse mileage for outings and pay any admission fees).
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR certification is required. An ideal candidate will have relevant education and previous experience caring for infants and toddlers.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We are looking to hire a permanent nanny for 18 hours/week. Hours will need to be: Mondays and Thursdays, 8:00am-4:30pm + one 4-4.5 hour weekend evening per month.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
Salary is negotiable and will depend upon previous experience and fit with our family.
We will offer paid vacation days, sick days, and holidays.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
We have 1 cat. No care for him will be required, although he may seek occasional cuddles while you are in our home.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for someone who is nurturing, fun-loving, and energetic. We would like someone who is experienced with little ones and confident in their ability to juggle the needs of 2 young children. An appealing candidate for us would be someone who values learning and can be creative and fun in fostering our children's development. We are, of course, looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, and honest. Ideally, we would like our nanny to feel like part of our family; we are looking for someone who takes the responsibility seriously and will create a rewarding relationship with our children and with our family as a whole.
