Please describe your family:
We are an easy going, happy go-lucky couple who are new to the area. Jeff works as a project manager, and Stan is a nonprofit executive. While we are both pretty active in our careers, we make sure to be home for dinner as a family most every night of the week and weekend. We love the outdoors, and spend a good deal of time hiking, or hanging around the house having fun doing house projects since we really just love to be home and have real qualtiy family time. We both love to cook fun, family meal, and entertain not too infrequently.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a nanny who will truly engage with our daughter in the areas of art, music, reading and lots of play indoors and out. Also someone who will show and share the wonder of the world that surrounds us. Our nanny should be a firm but loving disciplinarian, who does not engage in any form of corporal punishment, but uses behavior modification to elicit proper behavior.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have only one child. Our daughter, Anna, who is just over 9 months old, was adopted about 8 1/2 months ago, and she is a beautiful and loving little girl of african-american heritage.
Describe your home setting: we have a lovely, casual ranch-style home in north boulder. we are a quick walk to nearby parks,and an easy walk/drive to a many outdoor recreation activities, shopping sites, restaurants. We have a lovely and private backyard with lots of green space to run and play

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We would expect our nanny to perform light houskeeping tasks (cooking, laundry and light cleaning) for our daughter only. If there is the time and desire on the nannies part, we would enjoy, but not require, help with the odd errand or some light shopping.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We want our nanny to engage our daughter in reading, art projects, playing and/or listening to music and siging. We want our nanny to enjoy taking our daughter to the park (since one is so close to our home). If appropriate, we wouold perhaps like our nanny to help us with swimming lessons. If possibly, we would like our nanny to be active with other nannies in the area to form or participate in play-dates/playgroups
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
infant/child CPR qualification is highly desireable. We would be willing to pay for the certification course for the right nanny!

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We are looking for a full-time situation, from roughly 8:15/8:30 a.m. to 5/5:30 p.m.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
We are able to pay between $12-$15 an hour to start. We would be able to provide up to $50 a month stipened towards health insurance (the nanny would be encouraged to provide thier own coverage). We couls also discuss an additional $35 per month stipened towards a health/fitness membership. To start we offer a total of 20 vacation/sick days per year, plus 12 paid holidays
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes, we have a 12 year old American Eskimo dog, named Randy, who is in his "later years." The nanny would only be required to let the dog out as necessary during the day, but is encouraged to get to know our dog, and possibly take him ona walk or two during the week...again, not required, but a sweet thing to do if the nanny and our dog hit it off.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for a nanny who will share our love of family, learning, exploration, and healthy living. We want the nanny to feel like a true part of the family and someone who will help share and transmit our values of compassion, love and trust to our daughter.
Additional comments:
We are looking to share our nanny situation (which is awesome) with another family. In essence, we have a great nanny whom we would like to share on a full time basis; part-time basis will be considered on a case by case basis.
