My husband Eric and I have been married for almost 14 years and currently live in North Boulder. We have two children - Olivia (3 yrs) and Brooks (9 months). We really value family time and love playing with the kids. We love to read books, sing songs, play dress up, do lots and lots of artwork, make up pretend stories, bake cookies and play fun creative games. Love and compassion are very important to us. Especially when it comes to understanding the children's needs. We practice love and logic principles.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Eric works full time and Pito works part time (Tues, Wed and Thursday). Olivia goes to preschool on Tues, Wed, and Thurs so we are looking for a nanny for Brooks on those three days. We would like to hire a nanny who has an early childhood background/education and experience (in particular with infants). We would like to hire a nanny who is kind, very patient, compassionate and who loves her work and the children she takes care of. We are looking for a nanny who can work for us until June of 2008.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Brooks (9 month old boy) on Tuesdays, Wed, and Thursdays. May need to have nanny pick up Olivia from preschool on those days as well. We live two blocks away from the preschool so it is within walking distance. We may need the nanny to also work on Mondays or Fridays from time to time.

Describe your home setting: Home with spouse. Urban (North Boulder). There is a park behind our house.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Primarliy take care of Brooks. If there is time, she can also help with light housekeeping.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
reading, playing, going to the park, and especially - be patient and hold him when he is crying and wants to be held

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR and first aid certified

When will this position be available?
Start date is flexible

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
At least 27 hours per week (9 hours each on Tues, Wed and Thurs) and possibly some hours on Mondays and Fridays. This will be for short term - until mid-June 2008.

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$12-$18 We will not be offering benefits.

We are looking for a loving and compassioniate nanny who has had experience taking care of infants.
