We moved from London to the Boulder area a little over a year ago. Gretchen was born and raised in Colorado, Anton is from Russia but has been living in the states for over a decade and went to school in Colorado. We're both in high-tech, but moved away from London & Silicon Valley to reclaim our life and love of the outdoors by moving back to the beautiful Colorado mountains! We are avid river enthusiasts (thus the name Ria, the feminine version of River in Spanish), and also hike, camp, ski/snowboard. We love to travel and have been all over the world--Ria visited four countries before she was 6 months old! We’re non-smokers, rarely drink, and strive to be healthy.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a nanny-share and companion for Ria, a cheery 2 year old girl, beginning in June. We would prefer to find a family in North Boulder who have a toddler and are looking for full-time care. Kim is our current Nanny and has been with us for a little over a year. She is an absolutely wonderful Nanny, so if you are looking for a great companion for your little one (in both Ria and Kim) you’ve found it!! Care-giver will need to provide activities that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of our little wonder. We expect someone who has a cheerful and patient attitude, and someone who is flexible as emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances arise. We are looking for someone who has an appreciation of the outdoors and who will participate and coordinate fun activities outside and inside of the house. Additionally, wed like someone knowledgeable of the Boulder childrens community (as were new parents to this community and will want the caregiver to suggest ways of getting our family involved with local events and activities). Additionally, the nanny will be required to comply with our discipline and child-rearing preferences, which includes a more flexible and nurturing, less-scheduled environment.
Nanny will be responsible for preparing nutritious snacks and meals for the child, driving child to/from activities and participating as necessary, and should know how to swim as wed like our child to learn an appreciation for water. Additionally, Nanny will be responsible for pick-up after the child in all ways and light laundry as necessary.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Ria is two and has a very cheery, pleasant disposition. She loves to be outside, play, learn, talk, and dance. She’s very flexible and loads of fun to hug, squeeze, and tip upside-down. She is fairly advanced and verbal, so can keep up with older toddlers.
Describe your home setting: We are currently living in a wonderful house in North Boulder. For the nanny share we’d like to share locations between the two houses (alternating days).
