Please describe your family:
Mom, Dad, Daughter (4), Son (3 months currentlY). We like to spend time playing with and caring for our children. We watch very little TV (4-year-old may see 20 minutes per week, maximum. Infant watches no TV). We maintain a clean, neat home. We cook and serve most meals at home, offering healthy, balanced meals. We eat 2-3 meals each day together. We have 3 cats. Our daughter attends a Waldorf preschool. We encourage waldorf-style play and care in our home - toys made from natural materials, homemade toys, creative play, loving and respectful treatment of all family members.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Mom and Dad work part-time (20 hours per week and 32 hours per week). We need child care for our son in the mornings during the hours when both parents are at work.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Son - will be 7 months when mom goes back to work.
Daughter - 4 years old, generally attends preschool in the morning

Describe your home setting: House in the middle of town, 1 mile south of CSU. Across the street from a nature trail, open space out back. Front and back yards. Also near a botanic garden.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Childcare, first and foremost. While infant is napping, nanny must wash/dry/fold family laundry, and/or perform light housekeeping to help keep the house up between cleaning service visits (cleaning service comes once every 2 weeks). Nanny will also need to prepare meals for the infant, and may be asked to prepare homemade baby food (squished bananas, avocadoes, etc).

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
age-appropriate play, reading, holding, take on a walk, take into backyard garden, singing.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
Prefer someone with an education in early childhood development. Prefer someone with a background of knowledge of Waldorf-inspired care.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
4-5 hours per day, 4-5 days per week for 2-3 years.

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$12/hr starting. 10 personal days (for illness or vacation) per year. Cash bonus 2 times per year. When family is on vacation, nanny is expected to care for our home while we're gone (but of course no childcare on those days).

Additional comments:
Family in Fort Collins, CO needs an excellent part-time, live-out nanny for infant (7 months) and occasional preschooler (4 years). 4-5 hours per day, 4-5 days per week, approximately 8am – 1pm, for 2-3 years. Job duties include: 1) loving care of infant (bottle feeding, meal and food preparation, putting down for nap(s), play time), and 2) light household work mostly during nap time (family laundry, cleaning touch-ups to house between cleaning service visits). Prospective candidates must have either early childhood development education (preferred) or have significant experience and background with infants. Candidates should also be aligned with natural parenting and waldorf-inspired care. Our home has 3 cats. We like to spend time playing with our children and maintaining a healthy home for them. We hope to find a nanny who shares these values.
