We have been together for 8 years and married for 4.5. We have a 2 year old daughter, Sofia. We are both environmental consultants and are pretty easy-going. Sofia is the light of our lives.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
I (Katie) am starting a full-time job, after working part-time, from home, for the last 3+ years. Our daughter is in daycare but I am looking for a more individualized situation where she can spend time outside, go to music and gymnastics classes and have quiet time.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Caring for our daughter is the most important part of this job. I expect the nanny to work on developing a trusting relationship with our daughter. This will include lots of playtime, reading books, trips to the park, etc. Some help with light housekeeping or laundry would be great when she is sleeping.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Playing outside, walks/hikes, going to the park, reading books, singing, dancing, gymnastics classes, art projects, music classes, trips to the zoo, meals, naps.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR/First aid certified, experience with toddlers.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We need a nanny for 40+ hours per week. We are looking for a reliable, long-term match that can continue to help if we have another child in the future.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$13/hour. No benefits.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes, we have an older dog named Lucia. She is friendly with people but not other dogs. We do not let her around other children and carefully watch her interaction with Sofia.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for someone who is patient, loving, fun and able to mesh with our parenting style. By far, the most important thing is watching our daughter. If time permits, light housekeeping or grocery shopping would be extremely appreciated. Reliability and good communication are critical!
