Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
Mom, Dad (both CU professors), 6 y.o and 2.5 year old.
Our daughters are the center of our worlds.

We practice attachment parenting, not so much in a strict way, rather, this was the parenting style that we fell into.

Our home is very laid back, comfortable, calm and happy. We listen to a lot of music. The living room is full of toys! We are organized and tidy.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Help with the after school hours (and making lunches for the next day) -- allowing each child to have more one-on-one time with an adult.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
6 year old girl
2.5 year old girl

Describe your home setting: We live in a house in south Boulder.

Our house is sunny, cozy and very comfortable. Mom and Dad work at home a lot in the study downstairs -- away from kitchen/ living areas.

We don’t wear shoes in the house, we eat lots of good organic food, we use mostly green products. The house tends to be organized and tidy.

Help with making lunches for the next school day. Pick up toys after the girls.

Play and read books with the 2.5 year old. She also likes to paint, and, loves to play outside. We try to have some outside time most afternoons. The six year old: read, talk, play, color. On occasion: listen to the six year old read, and organize her to practice piano.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR, 1st aid.

Does this position require a valid driver's license?
No

Does this position require a car?
No

When will this position be available?
Immediately

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Tuesdays and Thursday 2:30-5:30 (or 3-6). We may add a third day if all goes well! We would hope to have a nanny work through the summer, too (and probably into the fall).

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$15-18/hr

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Not right now. We may be getting some fish.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
A nanny who is easy going, calm, adores children -- someone whom our children will come to be excited about being with!

Additional comments:
One parent will nearly always be in the house during these proposed work times, either working or helping out. So a potential nanny would need to be comfortable with having mom or dad around :)
