We are a traditional family of 5 with two cats. We've been in Boulder 25+ years. We work alot and try to travel alot as well.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a caring, reliable, dependable, organized individual who can manage different aged kids and provide time and attention to all of them. Ability to manage light housekeeping without detailed instruction is important as well.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Boy - 4th grade - bright, main passion is 'electronic games' - which we want to reduce! ;-)
Boy - 4yr old (preschool);
Girl - 4yr old (preschool)
No chronic health issues for any of the kids.
Describe your home setting: Multi-level house in S Boulder with nice play structure. Great neighbors. Mom's office is nearby and Dad periodically works from home in the basement (invisible). We are very close to the elementary school and only 1+ mi from the preschool.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Caring for our kids is number 1 - but we also expect picking up toys, loading dishwasher, kids laundry. Periodic grocery shopping, periodic meal prep (mostly for kids, unless you really enjoy doing meals for others)! Periodic drop-off for kids classes, etc. No major housecleaning.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Helping with homework, outings after school, reading, writing, painting, crafts, etc. Outdoor play when possible.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR and First Aid certification. Will pay for class if necessary.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Would like one year commitment. Expect approx 20hrs/week (typically 2:30-6:30pm time frame). Opportunity for overnights at a later time. Need flexibility when one parent is traveling for work.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
Competitive hourly wage depending upon experience and skill, typ $15-$17/hr GROSS.

Two cats - mostly indoors.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Fun, reliable and organized. Absolutely no smoking. We'd like someone who brings new experiences to our kids, which we may not think of and who can help with maintaining a reasonably 'calm' home when mom gets home from work.
