Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5034
Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
We are an active and energetic yet very laid back family of three. After several years together, my husband and I finally decided it was time to expand our family with our wonderful 9-month-old son. We like to work very hard, but take playing very seriously as well. We love taking advantage of living in Boulder and the mountains.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
I work part-time, the least amount my job allows. My husband works full-time, and often travels for work. I work outside of the home and therefore need someone who is responsible and self-sufficient. We are looking for an excellent nanny who will treat our son with love and who makes us feel confident each day as we head out for work.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our son just turned 9 months-old. He is a very sweet, calm, curious baby. He loves music and dancing and making people laugh. He is very easy-going and loves to be outside exploring the world. He currently enjoys baby time at the library, going to the park to play on the swings, long walks and playing in the leaves. He has a well-established daily routine. We are looking for someone who will keep to his routine, as it makes everyone happy. We encourage age-appropriate outings when they support his learning and development (and are lots of fun).

Describe your home setting: We live in a cozy 3-bedroom house in South Boulder. We have a large backyard that is a great place to spend an afternoon. Our home is bright and comfortable and clean. We are not smokers and are looking for a nanny who is a non-smoker. We live three blocks from a great park that always has kids at the playground and a fun creek to explore. Our street is full of kids and there are great neighbors all around us. We are close to the intersection of Table Mesa and Broadway with the grocery store, Reynolds library and trails.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Our primary concern is that our son is taken care of, then the usual – feedings/bottles, diaper changes, naps (he takes two), etc. When there is time, it really helps us to have his laundry done, bottles cleaned, diapers set on the porch for the delivery service, dishwasher emptied. No errands needed. Other things if needed.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Basic childcare, reading, music, walks – a variety of age appropriate activities to evolve as he matures. We have been using very basic ASL and would like someone to help us reinforce this.

$12-$15 per hour. No benefits provided.

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes, one large sweet dog.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
