We have 2 children, our daughter is 7 and our son is 10. Their father and I have been divorced for 2 years but we remain the best of friends (we all even travel together every vacation). We share custody but the kids are most often at my house.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are going to begin some home schooling for our daughter (with the help of a specialized tutor in the mornings) and then would like a nanny to do some fun activities and provide educational experiences for her after she has finished her tutoring work in Boulder. Our sonr will be in school during the day, so the nanny would be for the most part exclusively with our daughter.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our daughter is one of the brightest and kindest children anyone has ever met. She is sensitive, caring and articulate, although she struggles with some learning disabilities and academic anxiety at school. She is very much into music, art and dance and fashion. She loves to play her CDs and dance, dance, dance! She also likes to cook and draw and play outside with our golden retriever, Oliver.
Describe your home setting: Our house is exactly 11 minutes out of town heading north on 36 until before Left Hand Canyon. You make a left and go up the hill. I PROMISE the road is neither steep or hairy AT ALL! or else I would not be living there...I am a New York City girl! It is a beautiful home on 36 acres with a pool and outdoor living area..lots of places to play! The playroom has gorgeous views and is full of windows, no dark basement playroom here! It is a large, beautiful, sunny, happy home with hiking trails even leaving from our backyard. We also have an ground trampoline and a big playset

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Driving our daughter to do activities like the park, the library, museums, art and dance classes. Reading and doing creative projects with her, doing some fun cooking and teaching how to help cook, light housework (just helping keep kitchen and play areas straightened up), occasional running of some errands, if I am doing something with her myself.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Someone who is extremely creative and really in to arts and crafts is a must! Reading, art, dancing, yoga, doing lots of fun crafts, (trips to Michaels and Joannes are a must!), bike riding, hiking and picnics, taking her to cool places and things around Boulder, Longmont and Denver. Helping contribute to her enrichment since she will not be in school.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
A very good, reliable car is a must (preferably 4 wheel drive), experience with education, CPR & First Aid certification.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
15 to 20 hours per week. Mondays 10 to 5:30, Tuesdays 12 to 6 and Thursdays 10 to 5
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
We will pay $25 an hour no benefits, plus mileage.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
One dog...the most mellow golden retriever in the universe!
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Someone who has a true love for children and their
developmental, emotional and physical growth. Education, experience, creativity and outdoor activities are also important qualities! Artistic ability is a must too!
