We are a very active and busy family. My wife and I both work full time in Denver, and I travel quite a bit from October to March. We have 2 very fun, busy kids.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We have had one nanny for almost 9 years, but now that both kids are in school full time, she is moving on. Since we both work in Denver, we need someone to take care of the kids from the time they get out of school until one of us gets home.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Adam is an 8 year old boy who will be 9 in August. Ali is a 6 year old girl.
Describe your home setting: We live in a house in Four Mile Creek. The neighborhood has tons of kids, and Adam and Ali like to be outdoors playing with our neighbors.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Picking the kids up from school, helping with homework, driving them to and from appointments and events, cooking dinner for the kids (and potentially us as well), making lunches for the kids and light housekeeping (picking up after the kids only).
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Doing homework with them (reading, writing, math, etc), playing with them (preferably some form of physical activity) and doing fun projects with them. Basically, we want someone who who will be engaged with the children no matter what they are doing.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR, ability to swim

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
21 hours a week (2:30 to 6:30 Monday through Thursday and 1:00 to 6:00 pm on Fridays)
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$18/hour. No benefits
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes. We have a hamster and two fish.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for a nanny who will be energetic, creative and fun for the children to be around. We would like to find someone with good communication skills who is willing to be consistent with our parenting style. A positive attitude and enthusiasm are a must.
Additional comments:
There is the potential for more hours on days when the children do not have school, as well as in the summer of 2013 when the chikdren are out of school. In addition, because of the nature of our jobs, and the length of our commute from Denver, there is the potential for some additional hours from time to time during the week when we are running late.
