We are a three person family, Dad ( 38), Mom ( 39) and Lincoln (almost 2). We are very active and are often out and about. We prefer to be outside rather than inside. We lead a healthy lifestyle- we eat healthy food, get regular exercise and value health in general.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are seeking a responsible, experienced and 100% reliable part-time nanny for our 22 month-old boy.
Our child is very easy and is fun to be with. He's extremely social and loves to be out and about with other people. He rarely fusses or cries, eats heartily and takes a reliable nap once a day in the early afternoon. He's extremely active.
Our ideal work schedule is 16 hours a week, Tuesday and Thursday 8-4.
We want our nanny to:
- take initiative! Be a self-starter, be organized, and help our good boy and help our household operate.
- put utmost priority on the safety and well-being of our child
- be a mature communicator, have the ability to discuss issues if they come up
- have a knowledge base of a toddlers needs and developmental stages
- help our boy develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle
- have an interest in helping him learn and explore new things, especially gym classes, art, music, reading, etc.
- perform light housework, such as dishes, cleaning and laundry
- have his/her own reliable transportation with a clean driving record
- be personable, professional and responsible
- be 100% punctual
- have endurance in order to deal with our boy's very active lifestyle
- be able to commit to a minimum of twelve months. Long term employment with incentives is definitely a possibility for the right person.
- first aid, CPR, higher education, Spanish-speaking or any other specialized training is a plus
One of us works from home and will be around periodically through the day.
Excellent references are essential.
We start pay at $14/hour, plus assorted perks (good food, a beautiful home, garden vegetables, bonuses) Our wage can increase for the right candidate.
