Family consists of dual career couple with two daughters. The mother travels extensively. We value academic achievement and place high expectations on our children. We enjoy the outdoors and are active in many sports. The family is very organized due to the mother’s travel schedule. The mother has worked full-time and traveled extensively since both girls were born so the family is very familiar with a nanny in the home and the effort needed to coordinate/maintain oversight of other in-home services like housecleaner, dry cleaner, gardener, tutors, etc.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We would like a nanny that shares our values around hard work, integrity, and respect. We would like to find someone who is outgoing, has a good sense of humor, can be a role model for the girls, and has just the right mix of flexibility and strictness. Additionally, we would like the nanny to have great organization/house management skills in order to drive a schedule/determine priorities, especially when the mother is traveling.

Two girls—age 9 and 14.

Home in the Chautauqua neighborhood in Boulder. Both parents live in the home.

Oversight of all homework
Review homework of youngest daughter

Occasional grocery shopping and/or clothes shopping for daughters
On-line ordering of food, clothes, activities, and other items
Scheduling of sports, tutors, play dates, doctor and dentist appointment
Occasional laundry
Keep the house running!!
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Position focuses less on activities given the ages of the girls and more on accompanying them to activities/events and ensuring they meet expectations around school and other commitments. Downtime activities include reading, playing games, crafts, sports, cooking, and events in the Boulder/Denver area. Weekdays are for school/sports teams (no TV during the week) and weekends are for downtime with friends and extended family, as well as sports and other fun activities.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
Prefer First Aid and CPR certification
Proficient with technology since family relies heavily on email, texting, and videoconferencing

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We would like a nanny that would function as an extension of the parents—someone who the girls can instinctively look up to and respect. We value diversity, international experience and a global perspective so a nanny that can share these types of experiences with the girls would be great.
