We are two professionals that have decided to start our family after our careers. Since we are \"older\" for a first child, we are a bit more specific in what we are looking for in a nanny. We have had a chance to enjoy our lives without children and want to bring that perspective to our lives with children. We are firm believers in doing as we have always done...just with another little person:) We want our daughter to experience a full life with a great education and have access to all the tools to make her a happy, healthy and successful individual. She is surrounded by people who love her dearly. We do not have any immediate family in the state, so visits are frequent and encouraged.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We need a full time (4 day work week) though 36-40ish hours in the four days. She must have experience and be reliable. We would like to avoid anyone whois using this job as a stepping stone to another career. Stability is paramount. We want someone who will help raise our child to be a responsible, fun, confident, high functioning and an extremely loved individual. We want a laid back person but firm in discipline and standards. We hope this person is diverse and has many life experiences too.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
1 girl (9 months) full time
1 girl (4 yrs) occasionally
Describe your home setting: We live in a patio home community. Our home is a ranch and our daughters room and laundry are all on the same floor...makes it easy to get around. We our on the edge of town but still urban.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Light housekeeping, cooking for our daughter/ helping get dinner started, occasional grocery shopping and occasional errands, laundry for our daughter if we do not get to it.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Reading, arts and crafts, park (stroller rides or to play in the grass), activities of the day:), swim lessons, classes for the appropriate age.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR and First Aid required and the right experience.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
My schedule alternates from week 1 and 3 - Monday-Thursday and weeks 2 and 4- Tues.-Friday. It is a four day work week and every other weekend is a four day. The work hours are 6:30am to 5:00pm except for Tuesdays we will start at 7:30am and Mondays and Fridays at 7:15am. Fridays I am home around 3:30ish.

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes. We have 3 wonderful Labs that were our first babies:) Gabby (black), Cooper (yellow) and Sam (chocolate).
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We require reliability and punctuality. A fun loving, compassionate, patient, enthusiastic, energetic, adventurous, educated (a huge priority), laid back, animal lover would be ideal. She must enjoy a good sense of humor and life in general. We like to keep the drama to a minimum. We appreciate having a schedule that makes it easier on all of us. We hope that our future Nanny becomes an extention of our family. Additionally, this position is going to be part of my business, so it will be offered to my staff as an option. I have one other employee that has a child (4 yrs old) of which she will tag along occasionally.
