Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5143
Location: Broomfield, CO

Please describe your family:
We are an energetic, loving, dual-career couple that has lived in Broomfield for 6 years, with a new, outgoing, happy baby boy who, at the time his nanny care begins, will be 3 months old. We enjoy a love of Colorado and all the fun activities here, including walking/hiking, exploring the city and the mountains, biking, shopping, camping, dining in and out, spending time with friends and family, and cheering for our Denver Broncos, as well as fun stay at home activities such as reading, cooking, and playing games, and we love to travel too! We already have begun to introduce our little boy to some of these activities and will do everything possible to make sure he develops a passion for life.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a nanny because our parental leave from work is about to expire; we both will be working full-time starting at the end of September. Though each of us has the ability to “work from home”, we recognize that it would be difficult during the workday to juggle taking care of our son with career responsibilities. Therefore, we feel that bringing someone he can bond with, who will provide one-on-one attention to him, into his home is the best option to ensure his health and happiness during this critical developmental period.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our son is nearly 3 months old. He is a joyful, energetic, and loving little boy. He greets us with wide smiles every morning and giggles in his sleep. He is very alert, loves music and story time, and enjoys adventures of all kinds, indoors and out. He is sweet, outgoing, and happy, and loves to meet and play with other people.

Describe your home setting: We live in a single family home in Broomfield (the Broadlands area) in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. Our home is a large two-story house. We have an open and spacious floor plan with a modern gourmet kitchen, and a big fenced back yard with an open fire pit and gorgeous views.

Our first concern is loving and attentive care for our son. When time permits we may ask for help with laundry, food preparation, errands, or light housework.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We would like our nanny to give our little boy lots of TLC, to include play time, music time, reading time, outdoor time, and age-appropriate educational activities.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
We are looking for a nanny who is experienced in caring for infants, but is also interested in continuing to work with our son as he grows and will help give him a broad experience of his new world. Experience in infant/childhood education and development would be ideal, but is not required for a nanny that otherwise is the right fit. Infant CPR certification, first aid, excellent references and clean background/driving record checks, and documentation demonstrating legal ability to work in the United States are required. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We offer paid time and vacation/holiday. We may provide a bonus for special initiative taking, gas card and cell phone stipend.

Not at this time. We are dog lovers. Recently, both of our adorable Miniature Schnauzers passed away, and we would love to adopt another dog or dogs, but are waiting to introduce them.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are seeking an experienced, patient, fun-loving, calm, caring, empathetic, nurturing, energetic, kind, clean, and reliable nanny who will stay engaged with our son. We believe that a newborn cannot be spoiled and that our son’s needs should be met quickly and with a warm and nurturing heart. Our ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for infants as a nanny (preferably long-term with one or more families) and have a passion for working with infants and toddlers. This is such an impressionable time in our little boy’s life, we also would love to find someone who has some knowledge/background in infant/child education and development. Knowledge of baby sign language is a plus. We would like a nanny that will provide a physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing environment. We would like someone who will meet, and is sensitive to, our son’s needs, encourages his independence, honors his individuality and treats him with respect. We would like someone who will be comfortable caring for our son while we are present in the home but likewise is comfortable when our career and personal obligations require us to go out. Open and honest communication is essential.
