I am a Physician and single mom with 9 and 5 year old boys. We love any outdoors activities but also enjoy reading, music and playing games together. We are very health conscious and try to keep the house as unplugged as possible. We have a lovable 1 yo dog, Maggie, who is a large hypoallergenic poodle mix.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
I am looking for an extra hand to help things run smoothly in the afternoons and bring some consistency and calm to our daily routine. I am looking for after school help, which will involve picking them ip at school. Anyone working with us should be a dog lover but is not expected to walk the dog.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Ian, 9 and Colin, 5 are typical brothers. They are very active and love to try new activities. Ian is extremely bright and loves challenges.
Describe your home setting: We live in a single family home on a quiet and friendly cul-de-sac in the Rock Creek neighborhood of Superior. We back to open space with a running path just outside our back gate. Ian and Colin's father lives in NJ but I have 2 sisters who also live in the neighborhood and are always around for emergencies or other help.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
As described above. A major priority is just getting thenkids started with their nighttime routines. And making sure the kids are organized and cleaning up after themselves.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
As above, picking them up from the neighborhood school and getting the evening routine started and/or getting them outside to play with friends or each other. The school is a 15 to 20 min walk using the running path or an even quicker drive. A major goal is to work with a nanny to get the kids taking more responsibility for their own chores and getting their work done in the afternoon.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR, Positive track record with active boys and gifted children, pursuing a degree in education or a related field would be a plus.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Looking for around 15-20hrs per week with the option to pick up more hours at times that schedule is more demanding. This will be a long term position.

$15-18/hr. Negotiable.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Someone with a very calm, positive and even keeled personality. Dog lover. Excellent organizational skills and skills with managing energetic young boys are a must.
