We are a loving family of four with two young boys and a Golden Retriever pup named Huckleberry. We enjoy spending time together, playing games, cooking, gardening, reading, learning, dancing, singing, and making art and crafts. Our home is our favorite place to be.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Dad is a wind energy developer, and mom is in eal estate. We are looking for a nanny to help us 5 mornings every week, 15 to 20 hours between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm schedule! We occasionally need help in the evening and on weekends, and for a couple of overnights each year.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our oldest son is six years old and is attending the first grade at a charter school in South Boulder. He is busy, curious, brave, sharp, confident and capable. He is competitive and craves both physical and intellectual challenges. Our youngest son is four years old and attends preschool at a private school in South Boulder. He is patient, generous, sensitive, friendly, timid, interested in books and learning, and an avid follower of his older brother. He craves affection and being close to others. Both boys are enrolled in soccer and Jiu Jitzu.

Describe your home setting: We live in a single family home in Old North Boulder, walking distance to the Ideal Shops and great parks. We have a play set and a sandbox in our yard that dad and the boys built, as well as flower and vegetable gardens.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We would like our nanny to drive the boys to and from school and after school activities depending on the selected schedule. We would be thrilled to find a nanny who is an organized self starter willing to offer help with dishes, laundry, light house cleaning, and organizing, especially the kids rooms and toys. We want our nanny to feel confident about planning and preparing healthy snacks and meals for our children, and to place importance on feeding the children well balanced, nutritious food. On occasion, we might ask her to go to the grocery store for us and perhaps even to prep ingredients for a family meal. Our youngest child is severely allergic to peanuts so we need our nanny to be exceptionally vigilant about checking food for peanuts when outside of our home. We are looking for someone who enjoys dogs and is happy to care for and exercise Huckleberry. It would be wonderful if our nanny were willing to watch Huckleberry when we leave town.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We would appreciate a nanny who is creative and energetic, one who is willing to plan and oversee educational and artistic projects frequently. We would like her to be playful and engaging, willing to teach our children new games, songs and lessons. We would like our nanny to be willing to transport the boys to and from play dates. We want our nanny to help teach our children to be organized, team players in the home by making household chores fun and rewarding for them. We would like help teaching the boys good manners, sympathy and respect for others by facilitating activities and lessons to encourage and foster theses important attributes.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
We would like our nanny to be certified in CPR, and to have knowledge of and experience with childhood development/education and effective, gentle discipline techniques. We would like a nanny who keeps a well maintained, insured car and who is willing to drive with our boys in it. We are looking for a very patient and responsible driver with an outstanding driving record. Our youngest son has asthma, a very severe peanut allergy and an allergy to bee stings. We want our nanny to be calm and very responsible in emergency situations. We would like her to be comfortable administering medications if necessary, and have a good understanding of when they are needed.

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$16 to $20 per hour We are willing to pay for minor upkeep on the nannys car, and possibly a gym membership if there is interest. We are very flexible and understanding about vacation and sick days.
