Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5235
Location: Longmont, CO

Please describe your family:
We are a very outdoorsy, athletic family. We are non-smokers, healthy eaters, and a loving family. We love to travel, bike, ski, swim, and hike, fly. Our family is quite fun and loves positive influences.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Our goal with getting some help would be for me to get some much needed extra sleep and for our 3 year old to benefit from not sitting in front if the TV each day while his mom is too tired to take him anywhere. Also need a little help for my sanity while my husband is at work for 7 days straight.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our 3 year old, Thacher could spend every day, all day outside if we let him. He loves the playground, swimming, riding his bike, skiing, anything to do with trucks or cars or planes, building train tracks, reading. We would like to encourage his adventurous spirit as much as possible. He also needs to be tired out each day so he goes to sleep at night. :) He needs boundaries as he is smart and will quickly realize if he can get away with things. Our newborn, Holden is 3 weeks old. Pretty easy baby so far. I am breastfeeding, so some cooperation in helping coordinate that aspect of it is important. He is a sleepy little guy who needs help getting his days and night switched around.

Describe your home setting: We have a very small townhouse so being organized is quite important. We are clean, organized, pet free and non-smoking near Prospect in Longmont

We are interested in the following:
Nanny, Temporary

Full-Time/Part-Time?
Part-time

How long do you need a Nanny?
Less than 6 months

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Feeding Thacher Breakfast and Lunch, feeding the baby, changing the baby, burping the baby. Doing the dishes after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, taking out the recycle and trash if need be. Organizing toys, cleaning up after kids, doing laundry, General house straightening. Potentially going to the grocery store and errands. But mostly watching the kids so I can sleep or work out or eat. Also, the nanny would have to be able to drive my son to school at 12:20pm Mon.-Thurs. and drop my son off at a farm school Friday morning at 9am and then only take care of the baby that day. Both schools are within a few miles from our house. Also, our 3 year old has swimming in Longmont on Wednesday morning-, then he eats lunch there and then he gets dropped off at school.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Playing with toys, going to the playground, library, swimming, reading, conversing in German if possible, working on manners, walks.

Additional comments:
My husband travels for 7 days at a time and is then home 7 days straight. His workweek begins on Thursday and ends on Wednesday. (You can figure out his schedule if you look at a calendar and use February 27th as a start date- he comes home 7 days later) We are looking to hire someone from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for 7 days then that person would have 7 days off. OR We are interested in hiring someone to work 3 or 4 days each week but that person would need to be flexible on which days to work. Meaning each week will be different. We are open to hiring two nannies for this job. For example- one nanny could work Thursday thru Sunday and the other could work Monday through Wednesday of the next week, and so on.
