We are a family of three. Our daughter is 4 years old. She is very bright and playful.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Currently, our daughter is in Montessori preschool from12:30pm-3:30pm M-F. It looks like we may be moving to California in June or July. We want our daughter to have interaction and learning rather than sitting in front of the TV, and we, as parents, need more time to prepare for a big cross-country move.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have one four-year-old girl. She is very bright, loves to laugh and make jokes, loves to pretend play, loves princesses, horses, collecting crystals, making art, playing outside, climbing, learning and exploring the world.
Describe your home setting: We all live together in a single family house. I'm not sure if you'd call this area suburban or rural... sort of a mix. We have a fenced back yard for outside play. We have a small dog we adopted from the Humane Society a few months ago. The dog is very sweet and quiet.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Interact with child playing, teaching, listening, observing, holding peaceful space for her. Otherwise, light housekeeping and lunch preparation for the child.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Painting, arts & crafts, clay, bead jewelry making, reading, writing/drawing skills, learning numbers, letters, words, sounds, and independent life skills, creative pretend play, building, singing, dancing, making up stories and songs and jokes (encouraging imagination and creativity), rhythm activities, music, yoga, exercise, playing ball/catch, playing outside, cooking activities, fashion activities, playing dress up, learning about space and the stars, animals, nature... anything you can think of to be fun and encourage learning at the same time!
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
For the pay we are offering, we expect some experience and training in early childhood education, or with preschool or kindergarten age children. Must be non-smoker. Montessori training and experience would be welcome.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
I would like to have a nanny from 9am-12pm Monday - Friday. From now until June or July. If the applicant can only do 3 or 4 days per week, that may work too. Weekend hours may also be an option.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$15 per hour. No, we do not offer benefits.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes, we have one 10 year old dog we adopted a few months ago from the Humane Society. She is a Beagle mix and very quiet and sweet.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Must be comfortable working with parents in the home. We will both be working here at times. Must be non-smoker. Otherwise, kind, patient, caring, reliable, responsible, creative and fun!
