$15 - $18 for PT/FT Flexible Nanny

Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5245
Location: Longmont, CO

Please describe your family:
We are a pretty laid back family, easygoing and generous. This past year has brought about some major transitions for us, as we started a business and are in the process of making a permanent move to Colorado. My husband works long days outside the home, while I run the business from home. We have a smart, adventurous 4 year old and a happy, \\\\\\\"do it by herself thank you very much\\\\\\\" 19 month old!

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
As new business owners in the first year of operation, there does not seem to be enough time in the day to get everything done between the kids, work, and housekeeping. The most critical time for me to get my work done for our business is Mon through Wed. Ideally, I would like someone from 9 to 4. Afternoons when the kids are napping then some light housekeeping would be required. In the fall, I need someone who is flexible, as my schedule can change from week to week as things come up. For example, one week I may need the nanny to work Wed through Fri for 7 hours a day as I will be out of state on Monday and Tuesday. I need someone who can roll with the punches! The job would be for 40 hours per week, if the nanny is able to be flexible and available when needed.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have a boy who will be four in a few weeks, as well as a 19 month old girl. I will interject that I cloth diaper our 19 month old, so there are some special instructions that go along with that.

Describe your home setting: At the moment we are in an apartment, though the complex has some nice amenities. There is a playground for the kids and a swimming pool, as well as the lake just a block away with walking paths and a playground as well. As we are still in the process of completing our move, half of our stuff is still in our house in another state. Many things are still in boxes or not here yet, but we have the basic necessities in place. We will be looking to move this summer to the surrounding area, somewhere between Boulder and Fort Collins.

We are interested in the following:
Babysitter
Nanny, Permanent
Nanny, Summer
Nanny, Temporary

Full-Time/Part-Time?
Both

How long do you need a Nanny?
1 Year

Live-in/Live-out?
Nanny, live-out

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Cooking meals for the kids and some light housekeeping, dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, folding laundry. There is always something that needs attention in the house, so I am relying on the nanny to essentially take my role in the house when I am working.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
They love to be outside and I would really like to encourage that, especially since we have the lake and walking paths so close. They love spending time at parks, reading, going to museums (especially ones dealing with animals or dinosaurs!), they love to color and make animals with play dough (the youngest likes to eat it), and helping to cook. Anything fun and active! Splashing in puddles, putting a lunch together to go on a picnic, playing in the mud, blowing bubbles, etc.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
We would require CPR certification for infants and children.

Does this position require a valid driver's license?
Yes

No

When will this position be available?
Immediately

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We plan to buy a house this summer. This summer position is for at least 20 to 25 hours per week, possibly more hours. Mondays firm, the rest of the week may be flexible. FT schedule in the fall!

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$15-$18/hr commiserate with experience.

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
No

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Reliability and punctuality. Interest in helping with development and play based education. Montessori background would be fabulous!
