We are a family of four with two small white dogs. My husband and I have an 11 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I am an art therapy graduate student and my husband is in IT Sales.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a nanny to care for and provide support to our children (and family as a whole), primarily during after school hours. We have had full time care for the last two years, which provided me with the time needed to attend classes and complete my assignments. Now that our son will be entering 1st grade, we still need loving childcare but we no longer need a full-time provider.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
11 year old daughter entering 6th grade and a 6 year old son entering 1st grade. We describe both of our children as spirited. Our daughter is very artistic, is an avid reader, and loves to write fictional stories. Our son is creative, curious and loves to move!
Describe your home setting:
We will be moving to a house in the foothills just north of Boulder. The house is easily accessible via a paved road and is a short 5 minute drive to Lucky's Market on B. Broadway.There is hiking right out our back door!

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Kids' laundry (wash, dry, fold, put away with their assistance), help straighten kids' play areas and rooms (with their assistance), pick up kids from school, prepare snacks, provide homework support. 1-2x week prepare and clean up dinner with kids, 1-2x week put kids to bed (1x week b/c I have evening class; 1x week for parent meeting at kids' schools or date night), take kids to occupational therapy, occasional light grocery shopping.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Engage kids in active play (swimming, hiking, playing games in the yard, trips to playground, etc.), engage kids in more passive play (art making with all kinds of media, cooking/baking, reading, etc.)

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
20 hours/week, 1 year commitment. Schedule Mondays from 12 noon to 5:30 pm. Tuesdays from 2 to 5:30 pm. Wednesdays from 2 to 5:30 pm. Thursdays from 3 to 8 pm. Every other Saturday from 5 to 10 pm.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$16 to $18/hour,plus gas stipend for driving.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
2 dogs - a lhasa apso and a maltese/shih tzu mix.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for someone who is authentic and who can ride the balance between friend and effective role model. You will be able to provide a structure that allows for some flexibility. Additionally, you are physically active, empathetically attuned, employs humor, and demonstrated a certain amount of healthy self esteem!
