G.B. - $15-$20/hr F.T. Nanny for Newborn - Start Jan. 1, 2017

Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5430
Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
My husband and I are both laid back people in our late 30s and early 40s with two dogs, a cat, and chickens living in Boulder County. We are expecting our son to be born in early October.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
My husband and I are both full time employed attorneys that each work from home part time and have flexible work schedules. We are looking for someone that is very flexible with responsibilities and use of time. The primary assistance we need will be caring for our son, but if/when one or both of us are able to be at home part of a day with our son, we would like our nanny to use that time to assist instead with housework and errands so that we can take advantage of the time with our son. We would also be interested in occasional overnight stays when we are both traveling for work.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
One infant - boy - three months old in January of 2017.

Describe your home setting: My husband and I live in a beautiful home in Boulder County on 4 acres of land with a lovely view of the mountains.

We are interested in the following:
Babysitter
Nanny, Permanent

Full-Time/Part-Time?
Full-time

How long do you need a Nanny?
1 Year

Live-in/Live-out?
Nanny, live-out

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
As part of the normal routine of caring for our son, we would expect the nursery to be kept clean, the baby's cloths, blankets, etc to be washed, the kitchen kept orderly, and our son to be fed as needed. The only additional items we would like as part of the regular routine is letting the dogs outside a couple of times a day to go to the bathroom and a once a day feeding of the dogs and the cat. With a young infant that sleeps most of the day, we believe the above requests shouldn't be too difficult to manage from a time perspective. But we would be flexible should the above every day responsibilities become difficult to manage. Our request for flexibility comes from our desire to find a person to be willing to engage in more complex household tasks and errands, however, we would not expect these other tasks and errands to be performed "in addition to" full time care of our son, but "instead of" full time care. For example, some weeks when we are both busy with work, we may need 40 hours of care just for our son (which would only include the responsibilities listed in the first paragraph), while other weeks, if one of us is free for an afternoon or morning, we would like to be able to spend that time with our son while our nanny takes care of light cleaning, clothes washing, grocery shopping, more in-depth pet care, or other errands or tasks during that afternoon and morning instead of caring for our son. Basically, we'd like an additional pair of hands to help out around the house as needed depending on our work requirements so that we can maximize the time with our son. We would additionally be interested in the flexibility of having slightly different hours on different days, as needed. And as mentioned above, we'd like the option of overnight stays when the baby is slightly older.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Anything appropriate for an infant

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We would like someone for 40 hours a week for at least a year.

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
