We are a loving, easy-going, and active family seeking care for our three-year-old son and 15 month old daughter. Our son is in preschool M-Th so most of the day will be spent with our little one. Both parents work FT. Mom is a marketing manager at a cybersecurity company. Dad is a data scientist at Apple. We love hiking, biking and skiing. We love to cook and spend time with family. We are excited to build a strong, collaborative relationship with our nanny!
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We used to be a part of the au pair program which is shut down due to COVID. We're excited to build a more consistent and professional care situation for our two little ones.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our son, three, is a curious, sensitive and loving boy. He can be incredibly focused but also has boundless toddler energy. He has big feelings which we do our best to confidently guide him through. Our daughter, 15 mos, loves to snuggle and chase her brother. She is very independent and active.
Describe your home setting: We live the pretty historic nieghborhood of Old Town Longmont right across the street from Thompson Park and only a short walk downtown where (before COVID) we often took the kids! It's an incredible location. Our house is big and well-set-up for a work from home environment. We have a back staircase that we use to go in and out and avoid too many run-ins with the kids during work days.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
In addition to childcare, we would like our nanny to do kid laundry, prepare lunch, and help keep kid and common areas tidy and organized.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Lots of outside time at the park, arts and crafts, encouraging free play, and fostering independence in dressing, meal preparation, etc.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR & First Aid. Preschool and Elementary teaching experience a plus but not required!

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
M-F - 40 hours a week. Hours are 9am to 5pm.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$24-$28 depending on experience! 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays, sick days and performance bonuses.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
Yes, an eight-year-old very gentle lab/hound mix.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Someone who loves and specializes in caring for toddlers and preschoolers. A believer in the importance of independent and free play. A compassionate, confident nanny who can deal with age-appropriate discipline for a 3 yr. old... who's good at being 3! Preschool and Elementary teaching experience a plus but not required!
