The Nanny or Babysitter has the following experience:
I have 9 years continuous, full-time nanny experience, and an additional roughly five years working with children at live-in summer camps, tutoring, babysitting, teaching guitar and voice, teaching art, and volunteering with children within the developmentally disabled community.

The Nanny or Babysitter has experience with the following age groups:
I have experience with newborn to fifteen years.

The Nanny or Babysitter has the following interests and hobbies:
My primary interests are training my horses and providing psychotherapy to low-income families in the Denver/Boulder area. In addition, I enjoy working with wool: weaving, spinning, dyeing, crocheting, knitting, felting, sewing, etc. I also love to sing, play guitar, dance, ride horses, hike, explore the outdoors, swim, and stargaze. I currently run my own private practice business as a clinical mental health counselor, and I am also contracted with a local agency that specializes in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

Level of education:
I currently hold a high school diploma, a BA in Religious Studies, an MA in Tibetan Buddhism with Tibetan Language, an an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Do you have additional skills or certifications:
CPR and First Aid Certification.

Describe your childcare style:
I believe that harnessing expression is very important to a child's upbringing, and when working with children, I believe that it is extremely important that they communicate and express themselves in a productive and mature manner, and I teach them skills that will help them achieve that. I also strongly implement art and music, as well as literature and exploration when working with children, so that they can not only understand the world around them, but bask in the awesomeness of the world and the universe in which we live.

What activities do you like to do with children:
I love to be outdoors most of the time engaging in educational exploration, such as looking for, and identifying, wildlife, looking at weather patterns, identifying the names, colors and shapes of things we see, going on walks and trips to the park, and engaging in educational activities. These activities include going to the museum, bookstore, library, farms, historical landmarks, etc. I also love to read and have storytelling time, do arts and crafts, have songtime, make up plays, and play games. I also have experience with Waldorf education, so if the family is interested, I prefer to work with them in the Waldorf style.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter?
Because kids are fun, imaginative, brilliant, little human beings! They are a blast to be around, and it is a wonderful thing to be part of their lives as they grow and learn. I love being a part of that journey, and it is a thrill that I have the honor of helping to guide them along the way. I also love being able to share in that sense of wonder about the world around them that children undoubtedly have throughout their daily lives.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?
Patience, understanding, creativity, flexibility, attendance, affection, commitment, a sense of adventure, sensibility, and common sense.
