Experience: I have been a professional nanny for the past 16 years. I was a nanny for a great family in boulder whom I was with with for 8 years. They have two great girls. The older one was 1 year when I started with the family and the second girl came along 1.5 years later. I was a big part of their lives and enjoyed spending time with them. We went out on many outings throughout the years including going to the zoo, museums, pools, stock shows, story times, Rockies games, children’s plays, music classes and gym classes. I have been there to help the girls sleep through the night, first bottle feedings first swim lesson and potty training. Both parents work outside the home and I was responsible for all parenting and household duties. I do daily dishes, all the laundry, (fold, iron and put away) clean, pick-up home, meal preparation, grocery shop, errands, take cars to appointments and whatever else they may need done to make the families lives easier. I am meticulous when it comes to keeping a household clean, organized, and running smoothly. I have enjoyed family vacations and helped the girls with plane rides, all aspects of traveling and allowed free "fun" time for the parents. I have also helped with vacationing by staying home with the girls while the parents went away. Throughout the 8 years, the success of our relationship has been attributed to trust, communication, and honesty with each other. Being a child care provider is not just a job to me - it brings me joy and happiness and I love to see a family grow. Not only am I a nanny/household manager, I am a postpartum doula who can offer a new level of help with the home, mom and baby (babies). I enjoy staying with a family for long periods of time to watch the family grow and change. This is something I am very proud of.

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy being outdoors! Cooking and baking along with gardening. I love to hang out with friend and family to share some laughs and good times. Crafts and scrap booking.

Describe your childcare style:I am loving, fun and extremely caring. I try to be consistent and respectful of the family's rules and routine as much as one can be followed. I enjoy reading to children before naps and when their is a little down time. Doing crafts and really getting the kids to be creative and have them see what they accomplish can makes me proud I am positive and want the children to trust me, feel loved and feel comfortable around me.

What activities do you like to do with children:I am a very hands on provider. Anything outdoors when the weather is good. I love to go to parks, zoo, museums, story times, play groups, music classes, art classes, gym classes and the pool. Coloring, board games, cooking, baking, painting are any of the other activities I will do.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have been a professional nanny/doula for 20 years and it brings great joy to my life. Nothing is greater than seeing children grow up and see many of their first accomplishments.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Good communication, honesty, reliability, loving, caring, dependable, open minded, nurturing and patient.
