Experience: I have been babysitting practically my whole life. I am the second oldest of 6, and my older brother just never took to watching the kids! So my experience started with watching my four younger siblings. By the time I was 14 or 15 I was babysitting for other families. Now being 26, I am highly experienced with every age group imaginable. I have a son who is 4.5 months old, so infant experience is very recent! He puts a smile on my face every moment of every day, and it has helped me better realize the deep connection kids and parents have, which has helped me become a better nanny. I have had many babysitting jobs over the years along with two long term nanny positions. One for over a year an a half where I took care of 4 children ages 3, 5, 7 and 9. I cooked, cleaned and shuttled them everywhere they needed to go. The other was almost a year of watching a rambunctious 1 year old. He always lit up my day!

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with every age group, from infants to teens.

Interests and hobbies:I love rock climbing and hiking! Being outside is very important to me and every season I tend to pick up a new sport to try. Unfortunately I'm running out of space to store all the equipment! My son goes everywhere with my husband and I. We still maintain a very active lifestyle with him and hope to instill the passion we have onto him.

Describe your childcare style:I am a very fun loving caregiver. I think bonding and showing a good example to the children are huge attributes to good childcare. Educational play, especially when they don't know they are learning, is something I incorporate into their lives daily.

What activities do you like to do with children:I like going to the park, taking a hike, and exploring something new with them. If it's more of an inside day, I love coloring, painting, playing with play-dough, using our imaginations, or cooking simple things with them; anything that helps them expand and grow.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I love being with children and watching them grow! I still get amazed, especially with my son, when they accomplish something for the first time and love watching their faces light up. It is also something I am very confident in doing and I know that I can perform my "duties" well.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Patient, kind, understanding, loving, responsible, timely, and easy to get along with and talk to.
