Experience: I have well over 15 years of professional nanny and childcare experience. I worked as an assistant teacher in a toddler classroom in Highlands Ranch, so I have experience caring for many children at once. I worked with many wonderful teachers and I am eternally grateful to them for sharing their knowledge. My undergraduate education consisted of many courses in infancy and early childhood education. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an internship focused on early childhood mental health. Through these programs I have received in depth training and deepened my knowledge of child development. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I also have a strong background in music and love to sing. I have studied many subjects in my long college career and have found them all to be useful in my career as a nanny.

Experience with the following age groups: Infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary schoolers, middle schoolers. I also have experience working with infant and toddler twins.

Interests and hobbies:I am a complete bookworm. I can often be found in a coffee shop buried in a book. I also take dance lessons and sometimes perform in shows. I love to cook. My friends have given me the name 'Cookie Queen'.

Describe your childcare style:I do not have a specific style. Every child and family is different and has different needs. My aim is to work with parents to best serve the needs of the children. I am caring and try to set clear boundaries.

What activities do you like to do with children:Art is an activity with endless possibilities that can be easily adjusted to any age. Depending on the age of the children, I love to bake muffins and cookies and give the children specific tasks and teach them about reading a recipe and measuring. I love music and movement activities. I love to sing and am always dancing. When the weather is nice, it is always fun to simply play outside.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? It is fun! The best days are when I am able to teach a child something. I enjoy watching children grow into the different phases of development and know that I am having a positive impact on their lives. I also enjoy getting a hug at the end of the day.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Patience and an ability to adapt to the different needs of a child and their families are essential. It is imperative to communicate with the parents. Trust and honesty are a must. My years studying infant/child development have enabled me to be patient and understanding, especially during the early years. It is also important to have fun!

Additional comments:I am available most evenings after 5:30 pm and weekends. I am also available for pet sitting. I love dogs!
