I love caring for children and want to be sure they have great balance between play, learning experience, physical activity, and creative endeavors. From 2009-2010 I coached a summer league soccer camp (middle school and high school age children). At my previous job, I worked as an assistant teacher at Adventure Montessori in Lafayette Colorado where I gained experience working with children age 4 months- 9 yrs. I am now working as an administrative assistant

Interests and hobbies:Reading, rock climbing, cooking, baking, outdoor activities, hiking, biking, and yoga.

Describe your childcare style:I am a fun loving, compassionate and easy-going. I believe that children do best when they are encouraged and have positive role models in their life. I think it is very important to set reasonable expectations and structure in their life. My main priorities are for children to be happy and healthy. Beyond that I strive to create an environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves and secure enough to try new things. On a personal level I really value education, I am always trying to learn new things to broaden my own horizons. The same applies to the children I care for. I try to introduce them to new activities in order to make sure they are always learning new things. I completely believe in life-long learning, creativity, happiness and fun. Children should also be presented with clear expectations and ground rules from day one. Overall, I try to keep everyone happy by listening, laying ground rules and staying positive by practicing love and logic.

What activities do you like to do with children:I am a huge proponent of physical activity. I love going for walks, exploring the outdoors. also love doing creative projects; including cooking, arts and crafts and imaginative play. My favorite structured activities include going to museums, attending events and shows. I encourage children to read every day.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? Children have the ability to experience and see the world in a very carefree way. It is an amazing feeling to see a child take pleasure from the smallest things and laugh for hours about nothing. Their carefree happy go lucky personality of a child is valuable. I truly enjoy spending time with children and introducing them to amazing things life has to offer. I am a very creative, positive, and compassionate person. A child needs to have access to positive people and role models for them to develop their own positive well rounded lives. I do a wonderful job at creating an environment where children feel cared for and loved, so they can develop their hobbies and personalities. Nannying serves as an opportunity to make a positive impact on children lives. I love to build lasting, purposeful relationships which is what really are what drive me to care for children. At the end of the day children keep my young at heart. Often times adults become rigid and jaded by life, I just enjoy and appreciate children’s innocent honesty and genuine enthusiasm for life!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Compassionate, honest, responsible, independent, respectful, dependable, energetic, patient, open minded and experienced with caring and teaching all ages of children.

Additional comments:I look forward to spending time with your children and having a positive impact on their lives!
