Experience: I have worked as a nanny for about 13 years. Alongside I have done a lot of temporary work, so I had a chance to know plenty of children and parents, as well as to solve a lot of different problems and situations. I stayed with the first family for more than 2 years, 2nd and 3rd for 3.5yrs. The age of children I took care of ranges from newborns to teenagers. My experience includes taking care up to 4 children at a time, including twins (a girl and a boy). Among them there were kids with food allergies, handicap and the ones who required special attention and care. I was writing diaries of activities and registering first steps for busy parents, was teaching sign language as well as tutoring Spanish and French and assisting with homework. My experience includes designing curriculum, planning (and taking to) activities and play dates, taking to school and appointments, introducing new crafts to boost creativity, by all possible means taking children outside, encouraging to read, listen to music, sing and perform. The last family I worked for had 2 kids - 2 yrs and 5 year old. So, taking to a lot of activities, including library, parks, school, play-dates, Target for toys and hikes was in my responsibility. I also did some traveling out if state with the family, organized the birthday parties, planned healthy snacks, did.grocery shopping. And then I had my own daughter. She is 8 now.
