Experience: I started caring for kids when I was just 12 years old babysitting neighborhood kids. I moved forward with that in 2006 when I became a FT nanny. The kids I have cared for range from newborns to school age In that time I have also cared for twins and kids with ADD, ADHD, OCD, Autism, and dyslexia.

Experience with the following age groups: Newborns through school age

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also spend time reading, going for hikes, walks, watching movies, and trying to broaden my cooking skills. I'm not a top cook but I'm trying to learn more recipes. I really try to find things to do that keep me active and outside!

Describe your childcare style:I engage with children on their level and love watching them learn and grow. I will always follow the parent's style in every area. I enjoy listening to and talking with children when they have any questions. I find that when I explain to them why we are doing something the way we are, they get a better understanding and engage even more. I gear my activities towards the children's interests as well as the family's directions.

What activities do you like to do with children:Newborn/Infants Tummy time, playing with colorful musical toys, talking with the babies and smiling and nurturing. Engaging in growth and developmental activities such as colors, speech, singing, reading crawling, sitting, standing etc. I also love to take the babies outdoors on walks in a stroller (weather permitting) and to the park, babies love to look at the world around them! Toddlers/Preschool: Arts and Crafts, Numbers, Letters, Reading, Singing etc. I like to pick a weekly theme and a letter to work on! Imaginary play is a lot of fun and helps with self expression and creativity. Going to the park, riding tricycles, puzzles, and (my personal favorite) a good dance party with music they can sing along to! School age: Reading, working on legos, puzzles and anything to stimulate their minds. Working on homework during the school year, riding bikes, and being outside. I love taking children on field trips like the zoo, science center, library, swimming pool etc. Engaging them by having them help to make small snacks or small meals. Learning in the kitchen is a great way to teach them a bit of math through measuring, nutrition ideas and creativity while also having fun! I also love to do board games, they are able to work on taking turns, thinking skills, and sharing, while once again, having fun!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I truly love being a nanny! I enjoy being a part of the family and the privilege of making a difference in a child's life! There really is nothing better!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe a nanny should be patient, kind, organized, attentive, reliable and trustworthy. It is important that she communicates openly with the parents and be adaptable to their life and needs.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting you!
