Experience with the following age groups: Infants, toddlers, preschool, school age and adolescent.

Interests and hobbies:I love to travel and learn from meeting new people and adventure. With quite the green thumb, I love to garden! During my free time you can find my nose in a book learning about health and traditional foods. Dancing is my outlet. I enjoy using my creativity in the kitchen. Being in nature has soothing effects on my mind, body and spirit, especially soaking in hot springs! To care and support my friends and family brings me joy. I enjoy photography and making quilts.

Describe your childcare style: Maintaining a calm, loving and accepting energy is what I feel draws the children to me. I like to take the time to allow space for the child to warm up to me, the stranger. Then I allow the childs interests to lead our explorations. While engaged, I remain sensitive to when the child is hungry for information or deep into their discoveries. I will sing about what they are doing, ask questions or quiz them on age appropriate topics. If they fall I allow them to express if they are hurt. If such pain happens, I use an energy technique that helps relieve the pain every time. I also reiterate what happened so they can reflect to assist in learning about preventive measures. I am able to sense when it is time to wind down for a more quiet less stimulating activity. I have instant harmony with most kids and get them to listen using positive discipline without spanking or yelling, ever. I am patient and help children stand firm on their foundation when they are troubled. I am fun as well as extremely creative and resourceful!!! I come up with all kinds of activities both in and out of the house for children of all ages. I do not believe in plopping the children in front of the TV. No TV in the house would be ideal. I believe what is most important to children is to know they are loved and appreciated for who they are as unique individuals, to be accepted, encouraged to find and pursue their own interests, to be continually challenged to express themselves in age appropriate ways, and to have clear expectations that are lovingly enforced, so they learn and understand boundaries. In regards to growth and development of children they need structure, a safe and secure environment, nutrients, physical activity, quiet time, creativity and the time and space to hear and understand them. I feel the first years are so important to provide these elements to create a strong foundation for growth.

What activities do you like to do with children: I like to create recipes in the kitchen, read books as well as encourage them to read, do arts and crafts, play games, go play outside, play hide and go seek, go to the park, color and paint. I like to help with homework. I like to play with toy cars or whatever their interests are except war games. I enjoy to incorporate the kid events at the Library, into our regular schedule.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I want to be a Nanny because I want to make a difference in children's lives by establishing lifelong manners and organizational skills so they may succeed as adults. I choose to be a Nanny instead of a Babysitter or day care assistant because I am able to connect one on one while engaging in a quality relationship through growth. When working with many children you are not often able to establish a deeper connection. As a nanny, I want to help parents by providing necessary service that allows them to focus on their jobs and other duties, comforted that their children are safe and happy at home.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?A great nanny always maintains constant awareness of their environment to prevent danger and is safety conscious. They genuinely love the company of children, have strong morals, lots of energy, a nurturing spirit. and be a good communicator with both parents and children. I believe they should have a basic understanding of child development, sound judgment and be committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the children in her care. They must also be reliable, proactive, creative, organized, self motivated, enthusiastic, understanding and flexible.

Additional comments:I have worked with multiple Nanny agencies and "Nannies of the Rockies" is simply the BEST! I know you will be satisfied with the reputation they continue to uphold! I am proud to be part of such organization!
