Experience: I was raised in a family with three brothers, with two of them being younger. I have taken care of my younger brothers since before I can remember. We were always outside entertaining ourselves and putting our imagination to the test. I am currently an elementary education major and I have been teaching for four years. I began teaching as a teaching assistant for a special education summer school program and completely fell in love with the kids. I have taught an eclectic group of kids and celebrate each child and the unique talents and personalities they bring to the table.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with ages 2 up to 14.

Interests and hobbies:I have been competitively racing triathlons since I was 10 years old and continue to on the University of Colorado Triathlon team. I love skiing, cycling, hiking, and any activity that involves being outside! I have played the violin for thirteen years and have a deep love for music.

Describe your childcare style:I have found my childcare style to revolve around being energetic, having fun, and being responsible and reliable.

What activities do you like to do with children: I like to do activities that are important to each individual child, may that be playing dinosaurs in a sand box or playing soccer out in the backyard. Running around and playing sports has always been a favorite activity of mine and I enjoy sharing my love and joy of sports with kids! On a different note, I also enjoy taking kids on adventures to museums and doing arts and crafts.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? The career path I have chosen is due to my love and passion for teaching and being around the fresh-faced optimism of children. I am interested in working as a nanny because it is a job that I know I will enjoy myself during and hope to be a help to a family that needs some extra hands around the house.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? There are many qualities that make up a good nanny, the first being someone that genuinely loves the company of children. Another quality that is important is being reliable and responsible. Having a parent trust you with their child is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Parents rely on nannies to fulfill their obligations and should be able to be counted on. Another quality that is important in a nanny is that they are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the children in their care. Nannies are very influential to the children they are caring for and should acknowledge this and focus on making a positive influence in their lives.

Additional comments: I can't wait to meet new families!
