Experience: I was a full time nanny for 2 children (4 years old & newborn) in Los Angeles for a little more than 3 years. I am energetic, playful and really passionate about the growth and development of children. I get just as excited as the parents when the child has a new first! I am very capable and love taking children on outings, including parks, library, museums, indoor play areas, meet ups with other little friends for play dates, etc. I traveled with the last family to NYC for 6 months and was with their little boy (then 2 years old) for 10+ hours a day. We explored the Big Apple by walking to the parks, childrens museums, having lunch, taking in the sites and riding the subway! When the child entered pre school, I was very involved there. I enjoyed attending events at the school with his parents, I did pick ups and drop offs and was key in communicating with the teachers on how the childs day was and improvements we could be working on with him at home. I was always very communicative with the parents so that we were all on the same page in the approach or discipline we were impressing. I have the experience for all routines throughout the day, including morning time, getting ready for school, pick ups and drop offs to and from school, meal time, bath time, bed time and if the time comes....nursing the child through sickness. Prior to being a full-time nanny I worked in advertising and marketing and consider myself very detail oriented and organized. Going back even further, at 13 I was baby sitting on a regular basis for neighbors and I played an integral role in helping to care for my 5 nephews and 1 niece when they were babies and small children.

Experience with the following age groups: Newborn, infant, toddler, pre k, kindergarten and elementary school

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and the outdoors. I am trained in Yoga and Ayurvedic sciences and am passionate about continuing my studies in Ayurveda. I hope to enroll in an Ayur-Doula (Ayurvedic Doula) program with RMIYA in the near future. I think this will be a unique combination of my passion and interest in children, Ayurveda, motherhood and all things sweet and pure about the journey and caring for mama and baby before and after birth.

Describe your childcare style:I think it is very important to always remain upbeat and positive when I walk through the door and start caring for children. If I were having a bad day, I would never bring that energy into a family home. I am very fun loving and playful when caring for children. I am confident that I have very good instincts with children and I am not a pushover. If I need to be firm with them if they are misbehaving, I do that, and I always come from a very loving and nurturing place. I am flexible, trustworthy and respectful of working parents and all of the responsibilities they have on their plate. I would never cancel or flake out on a family. I believe in good communication and loyalty.

What activities do you like to do with children:Reading, play outdoors, swimming, using imagination, arts & crafts, hide and seek, building forts, teaching them new things, pretend play, taking an interest in their hobbies (e.g. collecting bottle caps, Legos, princesses, etc..)
