Level of education: I received my high school diploma from Heritage High School in Leesburg Virginia. I study Contemplative Psychology with a concentration in Somatic Counseling.

Experience: I am practiced in teaching children body and self awareness. Most of my experience has been spent in outdoor and after school youth camps where I have instilled my loves of nature, dance, art and music. My educational experience has been focused in but not limited to kindergarten preparation and elementary testing and homework skill building. My studies have included courses in childhood development and continue to be dedicated to contemplative psychology, helping individuals understand themselves and each other through mindfulness, awareness, and compassion.

Experience with the following age groups: I have worked with adolescents ranging from school age to infants. The majority of my work has been preparing children for kindergarten in a dynamic learning setting and connecting school aged youth with nature in an active outdoor environment.

Interests and hobbies:I am passionate about anything involving moving my body. My dance and yoga practice fulfills my need for movement while maintaining the connectedness of my heart, mind and body. I spend as much time as I can outdoors biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, and most recently climbing. I am most happy in the company of family, friends and good music. My curious mind enjoys learning about new people, places and things, and brings plenty joy to my soul. Other than that, I share my love and make an effort to find the light in everything.

Describe your childcare style:I have a unique relationship with every child I encounter, which I base off of the childs individual personality and needs. No matter what, I approach every child with great compassion and dedication to their happiness and development. I exercise a hands on and contemplative perspective to allow the child to grow through experience.

What activities do you like to do with children:While I enjoy the outdoors and a variety of self expression activities I also focus on the importance of education. Preparing for tests and having homework and projects completed is something I prioritize before participating in extra curricular activities. After educational, and household responsibilities have been addressed I embrace outdoors as another entity of our universe by exploring and teaching them about the wonders of nature, where things come from, and why we should care for it, like it cares for us. I share my love and experience with movement and music by introducing children to different dances and music from all over the world through visits to live performances or making a performance of our own. I also love to introduce young people to different art forms by observing and creating art of our own and teaching them a different form of self expression. I enjoy creating arts and crafts using objects in nature and objects around the house.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am interested in working as a nanny because I believe in nourishing youth towards a happy future. I am motivated to help children discover their individual special talents so they have the opportunity to reach their highest potential. The only person a child needs to become connected with is their own self. While bringing youth closer to their true spirit, I also learn about myself. My relationship with youth is a symbiotic exchange of growth and working as a nanny would fulfill my hopes in helping us all find peace.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?It is important for me to practice and teach respect, compassion, patience, positivity, and most importantly the ability to see the light in everything and everyone. When we know and practice love, love will return.
