Experience: I have been working with children for many years. Starting off as a babysitter in my early teens, progressing to swim instructor and lifeguard. After many years lifeguarding I transitioned to an after school program leader for two years in the city of Chico, and was then promoted to an after school Director at an elementary in Chico, CA. Since then I have gracefully moved into working as a Nanny as my new career!

Experience with the following age groups: I have worked with children ranging in all ages. I have baby sat for infants, overseen 40 elementary age children, and I have been a camp counselor for teens.

Interests and hobbies:My personal hobbies include any outdoor activities! I adore hiking and swimming, especially in the bright beautiful sun! I enjoy reading, art, and music. Yoga is a huge part of my life, and I truly cherish quality time with my friends and family.

Describe your childcare style:I firmly believe in being a positive role model in the childs life. I feel that I serve as another parental figure and hope to instill positive manners and useful tools that the child can use throughout life. I believe that I am a fun, outgoing and very loving nanny, but when necessary can be firm. I think it is important to form a relationship with the children and parents so we can all cohesively work together and provide a safe, positive, loving environment for the children.

What activities do you like to do with children:I love coloring, painting, and creating! I would love to include many games and outdoor activities. For older children the activities would include riding bikes, chalk drawing, going to the park, water balloon fights, building forts, playing with bubbles and much more! With infants the activities could include playing with blocks, stretching, walking to a park in the stroller, and maybe playing in a baby pool if it is hot outside. indoor activities can include actively reading books together, puppet shows, hide and seek, sing a longs and so much more fun! All of the activities will vary for each child. They will be catered to their needs, personalities and age.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am interested in working as a Nanny because I deeply want to build a relationship with a child and their family. I love human relationships and how beautiful it can be to form that special, unbreakable bond with a child or children. I want to help a family learn and grow and be the support system that they need. I believe being a nanny is a very unique job and it requires a specific person to be able to handle such responsibilities, and I feel I encompass the abilities to do so!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe patience is one of the most important qualities a nanny can possess. It is so important for a Nanny to be able to calmly and collectively handle any challenges he or she may face. If a Nanny were not able to be patient with a child, it could cause much unneeded stress in the child and families life. I also believe a Nanny should be fun, creative, energetic and outgoing. They should be able to be silly and play on the childs level. A Nanny should also be attentive and loving to the childs wants or needs. A Nanny should be a well rounded person in every way!

Additional comments:I truly believe that there is a Family out there that I can help and become part of their Family too. I feel I was meant to be a Nanny and have the drive and passion for this position. I look forward to meeting you!
