Experience: I began babysitting when I was 13 for a family friend with twins. I then began hosting babysitting date nights at my house to raise money to send myself to volleyball camp. After that I had the privilege of being a nanny for two different families. The first family had 5 children ranging from a newborn to 11 years old. The second family had 3 children from 5 years old to 13 years old, the 5 year old had intense ADD. I have also been a date night sitter for multiple families over the years and most recently I have been enjoying spending time and caring for my 1 year old niece.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with children of all ages ranging from newborns to 13 years old.

Interests and hobbies:I have been an athlete my entire life and love to live an active lifestyle. I grew up in Alaska and have a passion for fishing, camping, and hiking. I am also a big animal lover and enjoy cooking.

Describe your childcare style:I believe in teaching children to be independent and learning new skills while enjoying being young and creative. Respect and communication is very important to me and I do not believe in raising my voice or any form of physical punishment. I always make sure to respect parents and their rules and boundaries for their children.

What activities do you like to do with children:I prefer to be active when I am caring for children, including outdoor activities, going to park, arts and crafts, games, and whatever hobbies the children have. Spending time interacting with one another versus sticking children in front of a screen all day long is an anzing opportunity for growth.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I love working with children, which is why after a life changing summer of being a camp counselor I have made a career change to become a teacher! I enjoy their different personalities and helping them grow and follow their dreams. Being a nanny will give me a chance to work with children for the next two years until I become an educator.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe it is very important for a nanny to enjoy working with children and of course be extremely patient, kind, and understanding. In my experience it is also important when working with children to be flexible and able to remain calm in emergent situations if one arises. Looking out for the childrens well being and happiness should be the number one priority.

Additional comments:I am looking forward to meeting you and becoming a meaningful part of your childrens lives!
