I began babysitting my siblings when I was 12 years and became a second mother to them as I got older. I then began became a respite provider for Weld County foster parents and continue to be certified as respite provider. I have been a nanny for a little over 2 years. I have experience caring for children with a range of special needs. I have cared for children with developmental delays, CP, seizure disorders, ADD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, speech delays, PTSD, G-tube feedings, genetic disorders, mental health disorders, hearing impairment and deafness, and more. I also have experience with typically developing children.

Experience with the following age groups: I have cared for children ages newborn to 18 years old. I am especially comfortable with newborns and toddlers.

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy being outside doing various activities including, hiking, swimming, going on picnics, and snowboarding. I also enjoy reading in my spare time. I love to listen to and play music when ever possible.

Describe your childcare style:I believe in creating mutual respect between the child and the caregiver. I believe that respect creates a safe nurturing environment where children can grow and learn. I believe that children develop and learn best when using their imagination, so because of that I believe in limiting TV and electronics. Children need to be actively engaged in activities that promote development such as arts and crafts, pretend play, board games, literature, and music!

What activities do you like to do with children:I like to take children on developmentally appropriate and enriching outings to places such as the zoo, museums, parks, libraries. I like to do arts and crafts and well as read to children. Imaginative play is another favorite activity of mine. Playing with legos, blocks, dolls and doll houses, dress up and imaginative play are always fun! I also believe that children should be outside and active when possible. I like to go to parks, make up games, swim, go on walks and small hikes and more.
