Experience: I have twelve years working with children in a professional manner. In high school, I worked for a daycare and coached elementary teams in volleyball and basketball. This sparked an interest that hasn’t stopped. From there I became a full-time nanny that eventually traveled with the mother and baby for two-months to Latin American. This was not only an amazing experience but it tested my skills as a caregiver. Since then I have created bonds and with an array of families. I have cared for two sets of premature infant twins, children with disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, severe food allergies, ), and two different incredible large families of six.

Experience with the following age groups: I have extensive knowledge working with all age groups. I have cared for two sets of premature infant twins, toddlers, kindergarten, all school-aged children and teenagers.

Interests and hobbies: I am an outdoor enthusiast that loves exploring new activities and learning. When I am not hiking, fishing, kayaking, or working in my garden, you will find me practicing yoga or whipping up something fun and healthy in the kitchen.

Describe your childcare style:Over the years, I have found that I lead in an authoritative manner, in which I set limits, enforce rules, while still being flexible and communicating openly with the children. I am a very fun, loving, and nurturing woman. I have an incredible amount of fun with the children and at the same time I teach them compassion, respect, taking responsibility for ones actions, and love, I lead by example. I inspire our youth and I believe that by having an open line of communication with the children, it enhances respect and provides constant real world learning. I am extremely adventurous and always exploring, I truly love trying out new science experiments and new places to see with the children.

What activities do you like to do with children:enjoy engaging in many types of activities with the children but first and foremost is outdoor and educational activities. Nature adventures that stimulate the children and encourage problem-solving and teamwork is a favorite of mine. I enjoy reading, cooking, executing fun science experiments, planting gardens, and playing games.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have found that working with children is the positive impact that I have always wanted to make in this world. Encouraging children through education, exploring, and mindful living is a powerful feeling that I absolutely love and will continue to do. I have become a part of many families and I am still in contact with every single one and plan to continue working with families.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Excellent communication skills are important for communicating clear and precise information to the children as well as the parents. Nanny's should be able to resolve conflict in a positive, effective way in which children learn from. Patience and the ability to stay calm in any situation is incredibly important. Nanny's should always be nurturing and have a basic understanding of growth and development.
