"For me, I have never felt more comfortable or more joy in doing anything else. Love of children is something that no amount of education can teach and it is something that has to genuinely come from within. I LOVE what I do! I laugh until my cheeks hurt every single day. Who wouldn't want that? "

Experience: I have been professionally working with children for 14 years. I began babysitting or watching children at the age of 11. In total this would give me 26 years experience of being around, working with, and watching children. I have worked as a lead teacher in a child care setting and have had the pleasure of working with children aged 6 weeks up to 6 years old within this setting. I have 3 years experience in an infant nursery and 1 year experience in a older infant young toddler classroom. I am a mother to a beautiful 13 year old girl and have kissed away many boo boos, bad dreams, and sleepless nights. I have been a nanny for amazing familie for many years and absolutely adore them and their children. Over the years I have worked with children with all different kinds of behavioral issues, health issues, and disabilities. I absolutely believe ALL children are beautiful and I am not afraid of any type of situation.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with twins, newborn, infant, toddler, preschool, school aged children.

Interests and hobbies:Living an active healthy lifestyle is something I strive to do every day. I have completed multiple half marathons and find that running gives me more energy and makes me feel joyous. I have also always enjoyed cooking or preparing meals and love to use fresh ingredients. Outside of health and wellness I have a huge passion for creative arts. I have done many outstanding art projects with my students and would love to show off some pictures! Also I play multiple instruments and find music to be such a beautiful part of life.

Describe your childcare style:Raising and taking care of children is one of the most important jobs you will ever have. As a nanny, a teacher, and a mother my job is to make sure children are safe, secure, happy, and thriving. I do not like to use the word discipline but I do like to promote good behavior through positive reinforcement and redirect bad behaviors. Children naturally have such a strong sense of pride and ultimately aim to please. So much can be accomplished by giving them praise and a task that they can be proud of.

What activities do you like to do with children:It is important to have a plan for each day and a sense of purpose. I like to create a curriculum or a weekly theme and do art projects, sing songs, read stories, and create sensory activities based on that theme. I also love spending plenty of time outside!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? For me, I have never felt more comfortable or more joy in doing anything else. Love of children is something that no amount of education can teach and it is something that has to genuinely come from within. I LOVE what I do! I laugh until my cheeks hurt every single day. Who wouldn't want that?

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? The most important part of working with children is building TRUST. I want you to feel confident in knowing that your baby or child is just as safe as if you were there. A nanny needs to be able to communicate and ensure that all needs are being met.

Additional comments:I have many years of experience with young children and I am confident that I can handle any situation with diligence, patience, and tact. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and to work to create the best experience for your child.
