Level of education: I have my B.A. in English Literature.

Additional skills or certifications: I’ve worked as a lifeguard for 8 years, and have trained others in CPR and First aid. Additionally, I have attended a number of early childhood workshops and trainings.

Experience: I have had the pleasure of working with all ages of children for nearly 6 years. I absolutely love working with children, and wouldn’t wish for any other kind of work! In the past I have worked as an after school and summer program lead teacher, a special education assistant teacher, and an early childhood assistant teacher. I am a very energetic and positive person who aims to be a role model for the children I work with. I absolutely love getting outside and exercising whenever I can, and I love encouraging children to do the same. My favorite part about working with children is their unending curiosity, and finding ways to help it grow.

Interests and hobbies:I love to be active and to eat healthy by exercising regularly and cooking from home. My hobby is learning foreign languages. I’ve recently fallen in love with Portuguese. I also love reading and board games.

Describe your childcare style:I aim to provide a safe and structured environment for the children. I am a very well-organized person, as well as a very patient person. I like to know that the children I care for feel that they can depend upon and trust me. Additionally, I aim to make each new day exciting and adventurous. Children have a large capacity for learning and exploring, and so I am always looking for new activities and new ways of encouraging engagement with the world.

What activities do you like to do with children:I like to get outside as much as possible! We have so many great opportunities here in Colorado, and children are always excited to get out and explore. I also like to encourage creativity in children in whatever form that may take for them: whether through journaling, drawing, or even building. Special activities like trips to museums, the library, the zoo, or the pool are also a lot of fun!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am passionate about making an impact in the lives of children. I feel that working as a nanny is the opportunity to form a special bond with the children I care for, and to really become a positive part of their lives. I am really excited to use my skills and experience in this way!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Safety, honesty, and responsibility are the three most important qualities in my mind when working as a nanny. The children’s safety must absolutely come first at all times. Secondly, the nanny must share an honest relationship with both the child and the child’s parents in order to build a healthy environment for the child. And finally, the nanny must hold absolute responsibility when it comes to the care of the child. When I work with children, they are my number one focus and priority.
