Experience: I have two years experience in a preschool setting where I was the lead teacher in the three year old classroom. I have been babysitting for 10 years for family, friends and families I have met through teaching preschool. I have also worked as a nanny for school age children. I am currently working as a director of an academic after school program in Adam's 12.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with all age groups. At the preschool, I started as a float teacher and spent my time with children from three months to five years old. I have also had experience as a nanny / household managing for an 11 year old and a 13 year old.

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy being outdoors, camping and fishing, exploring beautiful Colorado and crafts. I am a huge crafter (mainly pinterest crafts) and I spend a lot of time with my big Italian family outside of work!

Describe your childcare style:I love to work with kids. My childcare style is to have fun and set up boundaries and rules for the children so that they respect and obey me, but also know that if they are respectful we will have alot more fun! I like to have a positive relationship with children in my care and lead by example as well.

What activities do you like to do with children:I like to do a lot of different activities with the children. I get a lot of ideas from pintrest, but I think it's important to incorporate science, creative art, literacy of some sort, math and sensory. I like to do fun art projects, baking soda and vinegar or soda and mentor experiments and fun games for literacy! I also think it's important for the children to get out and be active too, which I love to think of fun ways to engage the child in being active

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I want to be a nanny because I have done preschool and I would prefer to have lower ratios of children per adult. I think it is beneficial for the child to have the attention of the adult and I think it would be fun to lesson plan according to a specific child's needs. I was a nanny/hose manager for middle school school age children and loved it, but the children no longer needed a nanny. I love working with younger children and I am super excited to spend the day having fun and learning with a lower amount of kids to accommodate for their own needs.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I think that important qualities of a nanny are: Positive communication with parents and children, using kind words with the children, patience, loving the child for who they are, doing the tasks that are asked of you in a timely manner, building relationships with the family and the child and loving the children well. I also think that it is important for a nanny to be fun, silly, energetic, loyal and honest as well.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting your amazing family!
