The Nanny or Babysitter has the following experience:
Over the past 6 years I have cared for and spent time with numerous children through nannying and babysitting. I first began caring for a 6 year old boy through family friends and realized it was something I was really good at and enjoyed. I have worked with over 10 families. I have experience with every age from infant to teen. Within the last few summers I have worked as both a full-time nanny and evening babysitter for a few different families in the local area. I have cared for children with disabilities as well as children who are sick. I have also babysat up to 4 children at one time. I have lifeguard as well as swim instructing experience through Life Time Fitness. I have driven many children safely to activities and accompanied them in every day fun such as swimming and biking!

Describe your childcare style:
I believe in providing children with a fun and active experience. Depending on age level, I think it is very important for children to be active in this day and age with technology so prevalent. I think each family is different in their preferences and it is important for a nanny to be flexible and understanding for the family they are caring for. Safety is my number one priority, I believe it is most crucial to be vigilant and aware of the children’s safety in all situations.
What activities do you like to do with children:
Depending on weather conditions and age, I love to go swimming with children, play games and play actively outside. I enjoy playing any and all sports with children. If I am caring for an infant, I enjoy reading books and aid in progressing their motor skills and development. I enjoy singing songs, and listening to what children have to say!
Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter?
I have always loved children since I was a teen. My parents constantly told me I would make a great teacher or pediatrician. I think it is so wonderful to be a part of a child’s life and to positively impact them as they grow. I learn just as much from children as they learn from me! I want to continue to positively impact children’s lives and to be a nanny that provides happiness and enjoyment.
What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?
It is important for a nanny to be respectful, responsible and kind towards the family they are working for. A nanny should always listen to the specific guidelines given by parents and follow their wishes for childcare. It is crucial a nanny pays attention to safety of the children they are caring for at all times. A nanny I strive to be is one that is positive, nurturing and caring toward both the family and their belongings/living space.
