I was a part of a counseling program in high school where I got to help my fellow peers and mentor them with whatever struggles they were having so I know how to be sensitive and handle a variety of difficult situations. I also worked at a kids summer camp, so I'm pretty good at creating new fun games for kids to play!

Experience: I began babysitting when I was 11 years old for many of my neighbors children. I would do it everyday after school and throughout summer. I've done this for the past 8 years, and at the age of 16 when I got my license, I could be more involved and drive my neighbors kids to their extracurricular activities as well. I also worked for a teenage philanthropic program for 6 years where we focused mainly on helping kids throughout the community. I have tutored my neighbors children in elementary and middle school education subjects such as math, biology, english, and history. Now that most of my family (sister, cousins, etc.) have kids, I occasionally babysit for them too during the summers or on school breaks. I have a wide range of experience with kids ranging of ages newborn -14 years old. My love for kids has shown ever since I was a kid and it still is continuing through my education where I am now studying Integrative Physiology in college and working towards getting into nursing school to become a pediatric nurse.

Experience with the following age groups: Newborn - 14 years.

Interests and hobbies:I am a very energetic and generous person. In my free time set aside from school, I enjoy being outdoors and going on hikes and bike rides! I grew up being very active in participating in sports since I was a little girl. I also love to volunteer and find new community service opportunities that I can be involved with. My mother also had signed me up for various amounts of philanthropic programs and community organizations throughout my life and instilled in me that there were always so many reasons to give back to the community! Being a college student, I also like to go to the gym and workout a minimum of 4 times a week to sustain good physical and mental health.

Describe your childcare style: My childcare style is very fun, loving, and interactive! I can be a very mellow person but I can also be very outgoing and energetic which I think is very necessary in nannying/babysitting. Being a mellow person, I can handle chaotic and stressful situations with ease and grace. And being a very outgoing person, I am willing to do fun interactive games whether they be indoors or outdoors! I am more than open to allowing the kids to pick what activity they'd like to do, it should be a fun environment. On that note, I think that learning can be intertwined with having fun so coming up with exciting learning games is also my specialty.

What activities do you like to do with children:I enjoy doing creative games where the children can learn but also have fun! I believe that interactive games that get their brains working, are very beneficial as they grow up! Also, instilling a strong curriculum from an early age is helpful, for example reading them books and having them create their own projects to work on! Getting outdoors is also an awesome way so they can experience things in the outside world such as going to the zoo, museums, and parks!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have always had a passion and love in working with kids. I believe that babysitting has given me the drive and excitement to still want to work with kids now and I want to make a career out of it. I am aspiring to become a pediatric nurse and I couldn't see myself working in any other career field. Getting to build a relationship with a child and their family, helping them with their everyday activities, and being able to put a smile on their face is the absolute BEST feeling in the world to me.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? To build a strong relationship with a child, you need open honesty and trust. A family has to trust you to take care of their precious children and make sure they're in good hands, and being taken care of with love and extreme safety! Good communication is also very important in keeping high moral and commitment with the child's parents.

Additional comments:The safety and care of your children is my biggest priority. I will 100% respect your requests and rules and follow guidelines you give me to maintain a healthy relationship with you and your children!
