Experience: I have been working with children since 2002. I've worked in child care centers with children 2 months- 6 years for 10 years. I have ten years of professional babysitting experience. I have also been teaching elementary special education since 2010, in which I have gained experienced working with children with severe disabilities, such as autism or medically fragile syndromes.

Experience with the following age groups: Infants up to 12 years old.

Interests and hobbies:I love to read, especially when I can read outside in the sun! I taught myself to play the piano when I was little, and have recently started playing again.

Describe your childcare style:I love to laugh and this is reflected in my childcare style. I love to plan fun adventures and go exploring. I also love to plan fun learning activities. Because I am a teacher, I have great behavior management skills. I have found that as a child care provider, I do not really need to discipline, as there are ways to prevent "problem" behaviors. With any children I work with, I strive to build a positive, trusting relationship.

What activities do you like to do with children:One of my favorite places in the world is a library, and I love taking children there to help develop this love as well. While I am no artist, I do love crafting. I also just like to spend as much time outside as possible, doing activities like drawing with chalk, playing in sprinklers, or just going for a walk. Anything age appropriate and developmental is also important.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I love spending time with children, as they offer a fresh perspective on life. As I mentioned before, I love to laugh and being around children provides ample opportunities for laughter. I feel that I have learned a lot about educating and nurturing children in the last 14 years, and I would like to have the opportunity to help encourage growth and development in more children!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I feel that the number one quality important for working with children of all ages is patience. After patience comes a sense of joy and happiness. Working with children can have its challenges, but it can also be very rewarding.
