Experience: I started babysitting my neighborhood’s kids when I was 13. I spent two summers interning at the Montessori school I attended as a child working with toddlers and preschoolers as a teacher’s assistant, and helped teach a kid’s crafting class with Fancy Tiger Crafts in Denver the second summer. In high school, I worked as a stunt at Casa Bonita, doing puppet shows, piñatas, and stage shows, as well as nannying for several families over the summers.

Experience with the following age groups: Toddler, pre-school, elementary, pre-teen and teenagers.

Interests and hobbies:My favorite hobbies are running, mountain biking, drawing, crafting, swimming, and cooking. I love plants, animals, and spending time in the natural world.

Describe your childcare style:I believe that childcare should be a perfect mixture of love, learning and fun. I believe in using positive reinforcement and am easy-going, but understand there must be a balance between being a guardian and a play-mate for children. I believe it’s important for children to feel safe and loved, and participate in activities that promote their learning and health.

What activities do you like to do with children:I love the outdoors and sharing nature with children. My favorite activities are nature and puddle walks, going to the park, riding bikes and scooters, and inventing games in the yard. I also am passionate about creativity through arts and crafts, such painting, chalk art, and beads. I am always happy to help with homework and read books to or with children, and am an excellent fort builder!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I love being with and sharing experiences with children, and enjoy teaching them new things. I think that seeing things from a child’s eyes can be a creative and refreshing perspective, and that being a nanny is rewarding and fun.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? I think that the most important qualities in a sitter are to have patience with the children, as each one has a unique skill set and perspective just waiting to shine. Being a dependable and trustworthy source of care for a family is important to me. I also think it’s important to be active in child development and promote engaged learning and creativity while respecting parental values and openly communicating with the family, before, during, and after childcare.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting your family!
