Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? It’s my “gifting”…children have always been an incredible JOY in my life…they are so unique, individualistic, and fun. Children are “sponges”…learning, exploring, creating, adventuresome. I can not imagine not working with children! Child development/stages are fascinating; observing their growth. I love consoling/comforting children…reassuring them they are “safe”.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Realize and know that a Nanny/Babysitter is entrusted to a parent’s most precious gift… their child. Must LOVE working with children; it’s an incredible responsibility! Creating a “safe” and “secure” environment, authentically “engage” with children, must have a caring/loving personality, understanding a child’s unique temperament and personality, reliability, consistency, compassionate, understanding, fun, energetic, approach a child’s tantrum/stress with patience, calm and poise… understanding what is causing their duress and adhering to parental rules/guidelines for tantrums/acting out behavior. Multi-tasking is a very important trait…especially when caring for more than one child. Assessment and decision making…knowing when to call parent and/or 911. Additional comments: I am the second oldest of twelve (12) children…loved caring/babysitting my younger siblings. Children are very intuitive; sense I genuinely care about them. Therefore, children bond with me fairly easily and quickly. I am an excellent listener; listening to their stories and needs.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting your family!
