Experience: My childcare jobs began in high school, where I worked for the YMCA Childcare Center, being a Childcare Attendant. While there I worked with children as young as 6 months all the way up to 12 years. I then moved on to nanny work, where I got my experience working with three different families. Between these families, I worked with ages 4 years to 15 years old. As well as that, I have been an approved volunteer for a few years to work in a DPS Elementary School in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with toddlers, starting around age 2 and older. I have a significant amount of experience with the 6-12 age group and some work with teenagers, up to about 15 years old.

Interests and hobbies:Love of all things outdoors, the mountains are my favorite place to be! I love hiking, going for bike rides, and going out with my dog. I like reading and cooking and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy laughing and having fun but also adore staying home cuddled up on the couch watching a movie!

Describe your childcare style:If I had to describe my childcare style I would say it is fun yet firm. I know how to be silly and connect with the children I am with; however, I have also learned how to set boundaries and be responsible for the safety and well-being of my kids. I love giving the opportunity to allow children to take risks for themselves and grow, while still being there every step of the way. I am not one for harsh discipline, but believe in teaching children from their mistakes, being forgiving and offering new chances. There is so much to learn from kids and I try to take every opportunity I can to not only teach them, but also allow them to teach me.

What activities do you like to do with children:Some of my favorite activities to do with kids include : crafts, coloring/drawing, reading, riding bikes/scooters, board games and card games, baking, going to the park, and sometimes just relaxing at home telling stories and jokes.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am interested in working as a nanny because I have such a strong passion for children. I am currently in school to get a degree working with kids, and have spent much of my life invested in my relationships with them. I am who I am today because of all my work with adolescents and I hope I can continue to have more in the future!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Qualities I find to be important in a nanny are: compassionate, forgiving, optimistic, adventurous, open-minded, respectful, firm with boundaries and expectations, patient, and most of all, being a good role model
