We are a very active, fun, laid back danish family that spends free time enjoying the simple things life has to offer. Our main goal everyday is to live in the present.
We enjoy spending time hiking, shopping, cooking and eating good food, and just doing our best to love life. Mom (37), Dad (34), 19 months old daughter (who attends part time daycare 3 times per week), and a new infant boy (4 weeks), whom we primarily will need help with.
We practice gentle discipline, yet appreciate our children to be well behaved - and have fun at the same time!
Our home is very laid back, comfortable, calm and happy. The living room is full of toys! - we are however organized and tidy.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
As we have just gotten an addittion to our family, we need help primarily looking after our new infant (Named August, Born May 5th)!
We would like a nanny who is outgoing, friendly, caring, bonds with our kids, clean, responsible, fun, reliable. We want our children to feel comfortable and happy with who watches them.
We would also like to have an occasional, on-call babysitter
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
August (4 weeks old) who has very basic needs such as feeding, napping and light activity who will be your primary focus and responsibility.
Josefine is our 19 months old daughter. She is bilingual (you can speak English to her), outgoing, well-mannered, comfortable in social settings and a general pleasure to be around. As a toddler, she is testing her boundaries and we have chosen to follow a positive discipline approach that thus far has given us results.
Describe your home setting:
We live in North Boulder. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely for walking. - there are great trails & parks right out the door. Our house is sunny, cosy and very comfortable (5 bedrooms, 4 bath and about 3400 sq. feet) and the house tends to be organized and tidy. We don’t wear shoes in the house, we eat lots of good organic food.
Mom will be home during part of the day, Dad works from home 3-4 times per month (we have an office at home).

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Kids comes first, when not looking after the kids, light housekeeping (See list below) is expected.
You will primarily care for our infant baby boy, but will also need to look after our daughter when Mom is out of the house (going to the gym, shopping, appointments etc...)
Here is a fairly explicit list of the things we know we will need help with: daily laundry, unpacking and repacking the dishwasher, tidy kitchen, lunch for toddler when required, light meal (dinner) preparation for the family (this could be done at any time of the day)
We have a cleaning service who comes every two weeks, so no need for you to have major cleaning skills :)
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Infant: General nursing and age appropriate activities.
Daughter: Playtime, reading, singing, painting, nature walks, going to playground (there are 2 in our neighborhood)
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR, experience with infant care is a requirement

Mondays: 9am - 5pm (8 hrs)

Thursdays: 3pm - 6pm (3 hrs)
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$13-16 per hour depending on experience

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Enjoys being around kids (toddlers/infants)!! Warm, energetic, dependable, responsible. Someone who finds joy in inter acting with an infant.
Our 19 month old is very sweet and energetic and needs someone who enjoys activity.
