We are a fun, kind, active and happy family of three - mom, dad and our outgoing and loving son! We enjoy spending time together and our son is our top priority. Mom and dad are both working professionals and are active in the community via volunteering.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are seeking a kind, responsible, engaged, creative, dedicated and nurturing nanny. An ideal candidate is someone who loves what they do and is invested in their profession. His preschool class provides a nice platform to build upon with activities and learning. Finally, someone who is focused on reading, learning, playing, nurturing, teaching, etc. - without TV, electronics, phones, etc.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have one three-year-old son. He is sweet, outgoing, very verbal, engaged and creative. For example, he charms people when we are on walks or at Pearl Street by singing Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"! He is also detailed oriented and has a strong memory. He loves singing, dancing, arts/crafts, being read to, working on projects, helping to cook, etc.
Describe your home setting: Our house is in Boulder and has plenty of room for play/activities. Our son has a dedicated playroom and lots of activities, toys, supplies, books, etc. for playing and learning. We are also happy to get additional supplies you may want for activities/crafts. We are close to several parks/trails and have a backyard with a sandbox, play table, etc. We do use nest home system cameras in our home.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
During our son's two-hour nap, we would like help with light housekeeping, cooking once or twice a week, organizing toys, and laundry. This time can also be used to plan/prep for activities/crafts with our son for when he is awake. We are organized and tidy and seeking a likeminded nanny.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Our son just started preschool and we are looking for one (or possibly two nannies if the right fit, but seeking fewer hours) to pick up the car at 12:45 and then pick him up from school at 1 pm, M-F, bathe and put him down for his nap (he naps for two hours consistently). Engagement with him after nap, usually around 4 pm, would entail activities such as creative play, art/crafts, reading, working on preschool skills (e.g., writing, fine motor skills, sight words, etc.), as well as some outdoor activities. The day would end between 5:30 and 6 pm.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CRP and first aide (we would pay for these certifications). An ideal candidate would have some experience with early child education, but this is not a requirement.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Ideally, either for 1 Year OR through the end of the school year. We need coverage M-F from 12:45 pm (the time you would pick up our car from our house to pick up our son by 1 pm, until 5:30/6 pm.)
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
We are open to discussing pay. Our base range would likely be between $18 to $22 per hour, vacation, major holidays with performance bonus and/or PTO to be negotiated.

Additional comments:
We see the nanny that works with us as an extension of our family and value them as a person, professional and key individual who is helping to develop, grow and nurture our son. Our current nanny is moving to CA and has been with us for over 2 years. Ideally, we are looking for someone to start by Sep. 17, but we are open to discussing a workable timeframe.
