I am a software engineer and my wife is a pharmacist who works in Denver. We have 3.5 year old twin sons, both with special needs who are fun loving and silly. We also have 3 pugs and 2 cats. The pugs are very friendly with people of all ages and the babies love to feed them! The twins enjoy playing together and independently.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Two twin boys age 3.5 years.
Both boys have special needs: One son has a mild to moderate case of autism and our other has a moderate case of Cerebral Palsy. They are both mobile but are still in diapers until their communication skills are stronger. Would like someone who can work with them on this.
Both kids have started pre-K but we still need someone for a full time role at 40 hours a week.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with special needs kids and a special education background would be a huge plus! We are willing to pay a premium for the right candidate who is disciplined and can help work with them on speech and other educational activities. The perfect candidate is someone who is willing to work with them in a role that heavily emphasizes the education side, we are willing to pay what would be required to have a top notch person, as COVID-19 has had a significant impact on their development. Because of COVID-19, they have been unable to do as much speech therapy or in person schooling (this is improving now but they need to catch up). Education and/or a lot of experience in the area of education with kids in this type of situation required.

Describe your home setting: We live in an approximately 4000 square foot home up in the foothills/mountains. The area is somewhat remote, about 10 minutes from Boulder/Broadway & Linden. Our house is along a gated road, which is aggressively plowed when the weather gets snowy, but a reliable 4 wheel/all wheel drive is necessary. Neighbors are friendly, supportive, and approachable.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We would like our nanny to prepare meals for the kids and assist with their laundry. As to be expected, things can get a bit messy with twins in the house! Assistance with cleaning up after meals, snacks, toys, etc. regarding the children only, would be wonderful! Nanny will have responsibilities ONLY for the kids. The only household duties involved would be directly in relation to caring for the kids but under no circumstances would be given any other duties.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Reading, crafts, supervising nap time, feeding, playing, and assisting with all things described above for special needs
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR/First Aid Certifications. Special Education/ and/or Disabilities experience required.

Open to anywhere from 6-8 hours Monday-Friday. Flexible with start and end times! One year commitment required.

$40-$45/hr. We are willing to offer competitive pay based on experience. Vacation, PTO/Sick Days, Major Holidays, Snow Tires, Performance Bonuses!

A warm-hearted, patient, experienced nanny who keeps our kids safe, secure, entertained, and happy while "Momom and Dadad" are away at work. Someone who is confident and excited at the prospect of caring for and assisting with two special needs toddlers at once!
